TNT/TBS simply had to keep wanting to air the shows, whether they kept the company or let Bischoff's group with Fusient Media Ventures buy WCW.

that sadly doesn't work. The man, had a nostalgic run in WWE and didn't put anybody over around 2002-2005. Then he ruined TNA by basically making it '99 WCW. The issue is not giving the man creative control. @@CanineAdvocate_

Ultimately any way WCW survives is based on the television deals. AOL/Time Warner dropping them at the worst time, when most were buying the propaganda that all wrestling shows were bad, meant there were no viable network options immediately after the end of that deal. WCW had huge contracts and needed a TV deal, so they were gone then.

That is simply not true. I love watching Savage's matches, but Hogan had better in ring psychology and was a lot more versatile than people truly know. Go watch Hogan's matches in Japan against the likes of Inoki, Tenryu, Chono, Mutoh, Fujinami, and other talented performers from New Japan and All Japan. Hogan had a lot of excellent technical wrestling skills. He just never showed it in the States because that's not what Vince and people wanted to see from him. They wanted to see the blonde muscle man press slam a guy and win with the leg drop.

Bischoff basically did to mcmahon what he himself did to the territories in the 80s, raided the shit out of him & gave those stars a breath of fresh air, i just laugh at wwe's propaganda machine who they like to play the victim in the monday night wars like they weren't doing even more than that screwing with wcw's ppvs schedule & reach ect.

We can see why Vince McMahon was upset with Randy Savage he swerved the slimjim sponsors and that revenue went to easy E. Also if JR is saying what Randy did went Macho mode and did him ugly on promos and wild up and making it hard for JR I can see why JR when he was in Talent Relations he would balk at that idea bring Savage back. JR was always saying we want young not old. It seems plausible.🙄

Not paying Macho? I think you may have misunderstood Eric. Savage got paid very well by WCW. The point was that WCW then earned around about the same amount from Slim Jim's sponsorship.

I think with WCW they fell victim to both "too many cooks" and poor decision making. People like Nash, Hogan, and Others kept thinking they were gods and buried other talent for their own sake (2000 Bash at the Beach anyone?) . Horrible matches, bad writing, and WCW Thunder sucking up resources didn't help either. That and the fact that they lost the confidence of Turner had the writing on the wall

NWO was fire for about 6 months then it got HORRIBLY stale by around June of 1997 because the same thing kept happening week after week.

Because when them two were champions I bet you backstage Vince was like "why are these skinny motherfukers champions where is my big guy and I miss hulk Hogan". If he had his way hulk Hogan would be champion forever because of his love affair for big guys.
