1) Gordon is easily the most recognizable reality cooking judge for being loud, temperamental and abusive. So yes, in a way, in this situation, the world does revolve around him when I was simply making a comparison. 2) when Alvin does it, it looks fake - as if he is trying to create unneeded drama. 3) why are YOU so bothered?

Engineering is pragmatic math and proven theories. Mathematics is all about proofs, theories, and granular concepts. A good mathematician would wipe the floor with most engineers when it comes to math. That should be obvious at it is their entire field of study.

It may seem hypocritical, but Alvin wasn’t wrong. The duck was burnt. You can be humble and correct at the same time. I think it comes from he (Alvin) being the success, projecting onto Eric, the newcomer, the importance of humility.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't look burned to you. In the restaurant business, it's always the head chef's standard, not yours. So if you're a cook and you bring out a plate, and the head chef says it's too burned to take out to the customer, you just have to remake it to his standard quality. You can't argue with him.

@@imthecoolest50 i think its just an asian way to teach. asians teach in very strict ways. a teacher would be strict on a student when they see potential in them and they dont want them to fail so they act more strict to give them pressure and it makes them dont want to make any mistakes so that allows them to grow faster and more accurate in what they are doing. what alvin is doing is just this. he sees potential in eric
