Eric Church agrees that country music is at an inflection point when it comes to race, gender, and other social issues. "Diversity is always the best thing for the music. Always. No matter what genre you're in," says Church. "I do think we're at a pivotal moment. I think it's a moment that's been coming for a long time, and I think it's a healthy moment." Church argues that county music is representative of all of America, as he speaks on performing at the Super Bowl, Morgan Wallen's use of a racial slur, and gender roles in the industry.
