Eric Clapton was known as slow hand because he made playing the guitar look so easy and it take genuine talent to do that.
@mickeylangley7963
@mickeylangley7963 3 года назад
Another reason is that, early in his career, when he would break a string on his guitar he would change it himself on stage and the audience would begin the slow hand clap during the delay.

Guys, there is an almost unknown album by E. Clapton but which in my opinion is a masterpiece of technique and arrangements. The title is "Just One Night" and it is a live recorded in Japan it seems to me in 1981. And there is a song in particular in which all the technique and skill of Clapton stands out splendidly both as an arranger and as a musician: "Double Trouble ". Listen to him ...

This was a great blues album, showing Eric doing what he can do with an already widely known classic. Catch him from his initial run of sustained excellance, from 1965 to 1972 when he earned his "Clapton is God" graffiti, stemming from the legendary status he gained through The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, and Derek and the Dominos. He took a long time away from that level of recorded output until this album ('From the Cradle') came out, in the early 90s. He's been back to his old blues-wailing self since then. To see him with the guys who helped to elevate the world of rock to what it was, check out the Cream Reunion, from 2005. Song suggestion, 'We're Going Wrong' ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tsMLWPD2No0.html

I went down a rabbit hole watching your vids. Some songs I haven't heard in awhile. You seem to have an affinity for grunge which I love watching you explore. Two classics that you haven't reacted to is Janis live at Monterey Pop and Elvis's, in the ghetto.

I really like Eric Clapton. In his early years with Cream, he was often hailed as a guitar "god". But there was an underappreciated guitarist (although not by other guitarists, including Eric Clapton) named Terry Kath, one of the founders of Chicago. I think you guys need to listen to "Poem 58", from their debut album (Chicago Transit Authority). It's like "25 or 6 to 4" on steroids. Too often, Chicago is thought of as "just a horns band", but this song displays Terry Kath as one of the all-time great guitarists. Too bad the song is practically unknown. There are only about 5 RU-vid reaction videos of it, and every reviewer is blown away. If your heart isn't pounding form Kath's blistering guitar, you should check your pulse for signs of life. It really puts so many guitarists that came later to shame.

Also check out Bell Bottom Blues, Anyday , Little Wing. The Late Great Duwayne Allman plays on this album as well as Bobby Whitlock s Piano and Vocals. Bangers

Love your passion, guys. Very refreshing. Been subscribed since the beginning.... Now you really do need to look into Joe Bonamassa; "Angel of Mercy" live at The Greek Theater would be a good introduction, or "Mountain Time" live at the Royal Albert Hall.... or Joe playing with Eric Clapton doing "Further On Up The Road" live at the Royal Albert Hall

Hmm. Yes Clapton is polished on the Blues pentatonic scale. Yes, he has riffs and licks that are well polished. Because that's what he does, ad infinitum... As a guitarist, I find his playing soooo single dimension and repetitive. I grew up on this stuff, and Pink Floyd and Dire Straits, and Led Zep, and...( I could go on). This does not move me one bit. Sorry... So sue me.

I don't know, if it's one of your patreons, who said it's a live version, but, it's not a live version DUDES! It's from the fantastic album "FROP THE CRADLE"..... With the dog on the album picture! CLAPTON LIVE, IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL DUDED! LISREN TO THE 4 CD'S BOX, CALLED CROSSROADS! YOU GET THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCES OF CLAPTON FROM THE BEGINNING UNTIL THE 1990'S! IT'S MADNESS! ESPECIALLY, WHEN HE'S PKAYING WITH CARLOS SANTANA, 23 LINUTES OF MADNESS! AND, ESPECIALLY, THE LIVE VERSION OF "HAVE YOU EVER LOVED A WOMAN", 1973! I CRIED DEVERAL TIMES ON IT! IT WAS AFTER HE WEBT WITH HIS BEST FRIEND'S WIFE, GEORGE HARRISON, HE WAS TAKING HEROIN, HE WAS FEELING VERY BAD IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE, AND, YOU CAN FEEL IT WITH HIS GUITAR! IT'S THE PERFECTION OF BLUES MUSIC! YOU PUST LISTEN TO MORE REAL CLAPTON LIVE! IT'S A SURVIVOR! AND, HE WAS THE VEST FRIEND OF JILI HENDRIX, MY MASTER, WITH MY GUITAR! PEACE FROM FRANCE GUYS 👍😂🎸✌️🌹❤️🇫🇷
