but, his story is one of redemption. He searched all over and at the bottom of every bottle of booze to look, but he finally received a family once he let go of his vices. EC never had a "real" family and it was the biggest thing missing in his life though it took him a long time to figure it out. Props to the man, he's my favorite musician.
@@brucemunro7499 he had a five-year-old son that tragically fell out of a high-rise in New York and died a very horrible death... and no parent who really loves their child can get over something like that ... all the money in the world won't bring that little boy back .
Eric is quite the "Car Horse" I was amazed to learn that I'm actually a few months older than EC. As a major market, FM DJ, I played his music for 40+ years. Consequently, he owes much of his success to me lol. By the way it's pronounced Deen-oh, not Dyno. The 208 Ferrari Dino was produced as a tribute to Enzo's son Dino.

All these cars, houses, guitars and yacht and I hope he has enough years at age 76 to honestly enjoy them all in the remaining years he has left. Pilgrim, Riding with the king and Reptile are my faves.
They're just toys to fill his forever misery. At least after his sons death he finally grew up. He finally found some peace with his daughters. It would have been nice if he would have had a song to carry on his legacy.
i went to kingston poly between 1982-1984 and our illustration lecturer told us the story of his predecessor who is famed for having said "you'll never get anywhere until you put that guitar down clapton" he studied art at kingston school of art.
AND THIS IS THE DOWNSIDE OF THE MEGASTAR : Guitar superstar Eric Clapton incited his legal team on a 55-year-old German widow. The multi-multi-millionaire obtained an injunction against the municipal employee from Ratingen / Germany. The ridiculous reason: Her late husband had legally bought the CD "Eric Clapton - Live USA" in a department store 35 years ago (1986). In July 2021, Gabriele P. took the CD from her husband's estate and offered it on eBay for 9.95 euros. The lady reports: “After just one day, the offer was removed from eBay. They told me Eric Clapton had complained. The CD is said to have been recorded illegally. I received a warning first, then the ruling. But my husband bought the CD in a department store, not somewhere on a black market." The amount in dispute is 10,000 euros. Gabriele P. should therefore take on around 2,000 euros in costs for lawyers and the court. If she violates the injunction, she faces a fine of 250,000 euros or even six months in prison. The court will pronounce the verdict on December 15, 2021. Thank you, Mr. Clapton, for having no mercy for that lady... Very surprising: Clapton has been in the music business for decades, and there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of bootlegs from every decade. In the current case there has never been a lawsuit by Clapton against the producer of the bootleg, not even against the German department store "Kaufland". It is therefore all the more surprising that the superstar now considers it necessary to sue a private person over just one single CD.
He had money for decades without any true happiness. But it was the drug addiction and alcoholism that made him miserable. He took Harrison's wife then threw her away. No respect for anyone including himself. Glad he finally grew up after his sons death. He finally had daughters and learned how to really love.
Depends on what Music is Importent im a classic Player. But many who are all rounders dont have the luck that you have being a Englisch or AMERICAn artist! Im happy to say Eric is a very lucky guy but not a good Gitarrista. Beleve me
Actually it was Clapton who ended up idolizing Jimi. Clapton was no contest compared to Jimi. But I'll always love the Derick and the Domino's Album love songs.
@@stevenholton438 Clapton : the autobiography by Eric clapton . It grabs your attention straight away on page one , he’s a young child in great pain , not even realizing it … it is an incredible human & musical journey, I highly recommend it 5 stars ⭐️
I can honestly say that E.C. was not the only reason I started playing , but in the same breath, you might have well. The column A of role model is enormous.Lord knows he deserves everything he has aspired to . But there’s a word called overkill. I’m into cars as much as any enthusiast, starting with my first couple of British sports cars (Triumphs). But enough is enough.Live long and happy with family and friends. Peace, Rocky
53rd? Get it right, he is a Legend, some call him God..my partner does.. Not much luck in love really.. I hope he finally found true love. Magic Artist.
Thanks for being a great fan of our home country music, seeing your love keep me going. I PROMISE to put so much effort to make you proud. you can write to me on #clapton665@gmail.com#
Always a rich old guy with a young woman,,,And call it LOVE , and If that rich old man was poor no young girl would LOVE him.,now we talking about truth LOVE, This Word has no mening longer
I first saw Eric in Monte Rio, Ca. 1968. He was playing in a rustic shack/bar. I looked through the door. I was 16, too young to be admitted. I got to attend his concert approx. 12 years ago. My most favorite concert. (Also saw Janice Joplin Santa Rosa 1968)
It's kinda funny and sad in a way, I'm their age and back then you wouldn't boast or show off with money or things you had, part of rock was being rebellious and relating to the everyday guy. Now to see them posing with supermodels and mansions is odd, hey it's their life and money but seeing them sorta bragging is sad. I'm not saying it's bad yo be rich, it's just looks odd to me, but I'm a humble average guy. I still love their music and I'm not putting them down at all, just takes away from the way I looked at them. Good luck to all. 😁
Yeah! I know what you mean....our great rebel heroes seem to eventually morph into the establishment....but at least Eric along with Van Morrison are now speaking & singing out about the Covid lock down rules.
Totally get it. Became what he once hated. He loved being in Bonnie and Delaney. He wanted to join The Band. Still love his talent. The Establishment got em.
@@connievino4226 And almost everyone else. It's a sad truth that most of our greatest rebels simply become elitists & contradict all of the songs & music that made them so popular. Dylan is another example. Have you seen his home?? It's almost hard to believe. The interior looks like a yuppy banking couple tastelessly threw it together. Just seems so odd when you're listening to "Like A Rolling Stone" or "Positively 4th Street."
" I'm So Glad... I'm Glad I'm Glad I'm Glad"... Fresh Cream (1967) I purchased at a Very Early Tower Records in San Franciso's Filmore District as opposed to My regular Tower Records from back in the day at Sunset Blvd & Horn on LA's Sunset Strip
Most people have family trees, It looks like Eric has a family forest 😮 I got dizzy trying to keep up with the relations and marriages, and I had even more hard time to keep up with the cars list😂. To me he is a great artist, very tasteful guitarist who made a fortune successfully recomposing other great artists' music .
WoW ! .. lol ... Clapton is everywhere. The clap is rushing an avalanche of PR on RU-vid and elsewhere to be ready for his summer's tour. I bet the clap is short of money and hopes people will rush to his shows. The Clapton's blue$$$$$$.

Let me tell you, you need to fact check and familiarise yourself with your subject. It is Bluesbreakers, not Bluebreakers. We are also familiar with “Cream” , repeating “the band Cream” just shows ignorance.
Eric paved the way for these so called guitarist.Rolling Stone's opinion is not valid.Clapton has paid his dues and he deserves his paycheck.God bless him.
Hi Eric, I named my oldest son after you, been following you since the mid 60’s, you recently came to Nashville but the tickets were super expensive… you are super rich, can’t you do concerts now for the not so rich fans??? $2400 dollars for a ticket 😡😡😡😡😡
I've been a Fan of Eric Clapton since 1974 when I heard his Classic Masterpiece "Layla." I saw him perform live in 1975 with Santana, and they were Great. I'm still talking about that Concert.
Somehow I get the feeling that Clapton likes Ferraris. I wish Cream would have lasted longer. Two-thirds of Cream went into Blind Faith, much to Eric's dismay. That he was rated only as #53 all time guitarists tells me that Rolling Stone is overrated. I don't know anyone who lives his guitar more than Eric does. Just watch him in a concert and you'll see.
Rolling Stone, is nothing but a left-wing, garbage, magazine. Eric, is the lefts new villain, because he claimed the Covid vaccine, harmed his health. Hope he feels better and has a quick, recovery! Great, musician!
Eric always loved the cars. Never had a home until Hurtwood Edge but really had nothing and didn't care about "things". Can't say that about his love of automobiles. But don't drive a new car before he does. One time Pattie drove his new care to pick him up and he was so pissed that she was driving that he wouldn't drive it and bought a new one.
I really like Eric Clapton! He is an excellent musician and composer. Our Heavenly Father bless him and also bless the work of your hands! I love you EC
The "car insurance" price tag to put all those cars "on the road" is $9.5 million per year. That's why many guys just keep their cool cars in the garage.
