I will forever love EG as a Rockets fan, dude is the definition of a polite assassin, he was our second leading scorer behind James during those years.. the Backcourt of James, CP3, and Eric Gordon will always be my favorite of all time… PJ Tucker also holds a special place in my heart man I’m bout to cry🥲

I’ll go to my grave saying that game was rigged. Yes, they missed 27 straight 3’s but the fouls in that game were unreal. Not to mention Scott foster reffed that game and he also hates harden

That rockets and warriors series both years back to back were some of the best playoff basketball I’ve ever watched and im a suns fan and grew up a suns fan but damn that started feeling like a real rivalry with the rockets and warriors meeting in the conference finals it felt like every year

Eric Gordon is one of those true professionals that would thrive on any nba team because of skills and because he plays hard on both sides of the ball. Can do a little bit of everything so he's never a liability. He can fill up the box score on any given night and can score 20+ when he's on easily. Probably one of the most successful role players in nba history.

Been Rockets fan since Yaoming days and always love EG for his contributions during that couple year run. We were so closed to the championship and just missed the opportunities again and again due to injury, referee and probably luck... Wish James and EG could win when everything settle down and wish James and EG could unite maybe in Clippers or maybe couple seasons later.

At the start of when I took my NBA fandom more seriously, Eric Gordon was the first talented young player my team (the then New Orleans Hornets) got. He never wanted to go to New Orleans but he did alright during his tenure there.

46:47 guarding the ball in space is more difficult than ever, but a big part of that is the combination of the freedom of movement for the ball handler. I agree off-ball is physical, but the 1v1 in space isn’t allowed to be physical until the shot. I think that’s where people complain because there’s just nothing you can do to these guys that crazy talented in that space

it hurts more when you know the refs were so one-sided. Harden was fouled shooting 3s all game. 1 was supposed to be a 4 pt play that was taken away too. The moving screen, and EG getting sandwiched on a transition layup.

These 27 straight missed 3s - most of them were really well defended. When they occasionally were open, they were kind surprised, then rushed the shot. Basically really good d by GS threw Houston out of rythym. (And I was pulling for Houston)

JJ, I would be forever grateful if you will watch the IU/Kansas game tomorrow (Saturday) at 12:30pm. I'm an IU fan, and I think prime JJ would average 3.6 3pfga/game in this offense. They are last in the country in 3pfga over the last two years and their coach (Mike Woodson with NBA coaching pedigree) gets mad when the media asks him about it. He says "we shoot enough of them, we just need to make more of them". They take fewer than EVERY team in the damn country and coach expects everyone to think he's got it all figured out. Please make it make sense (or address the insanity of it) on your podcast.

I’m a little worried about my Suns. They are loaded with talent but they have no identity. Offense has been anemic, just a ton of Book & KD iso and way too many turnovers. Even with all the injuries they should not be 13-11 and 10th in the West with this team… Not acceptable

JJ is a horrible interviewer. the most soft ball questions ive ever seen. you can tell eric gordon is not a bought and paid for agent. JJ tried to get him to say the nba is still physical and eric didnt take the bait. You cant be physical at all with perimeter ball handlers. You cant breathe on a ball handler. Im glad eric didnt lie and continue to perpetuate that bs narrative that jj is trying to push. Being from indiana myself and graduating a year before eric, playing against him in high school and watching his career....hes def one of the goats. eric and glen robinson are the best 2 from indiana in my life time.
