I love it. While I haven't dug his new stuff much, peep old videos from K.A.A.N. if you haven't heard him. Some of it is incredible. Obv stiches it, but the lyrics and cadence are real nice.
Bravo! Someone said "G.OA.T> in a few years. I'll just say it now, it's here. This will be classical music. Not just Eric Jamal-- their quartet molds sound and concepts in ways that will endure. I don't know, I see passion, industry, a blending of complex phrasing/flow with addictable groove--but mostly and probably most importantly... Love for what they do. Especially Jamal, this guy is beyond next level. Thank you!
Holy shit dude! I just found Coast and that brought me here. Not every day you find a new (to you) rapper that instantly leaps into your top 5. First time in my life it has happened twice nearly simultaneously. Coast Contra in top 5 and Eric Jamal again by himself in top 5. Respect! Excited to see what you guys do!
Honestly I was a little hesitant at first. The more I listen and Im like... This dude is arguably the best lyricist ever. Certainly in my top 3 for sure. Amazing
Damnnnnnnnnnn.... That "I see it so vividly Picasso couldn't paint me a picture... I've been broke but never ignorant" hit me hard a'f... It's been decades since a song made me tear up. New listener now.
For real i been straight stuck on this shit he got me hooked like a heroin addiction latley, got me distracted at work and pumps me the fuck up glad i found this!!!
🤯 holy shit this is fire. Just heard this for the first time today and I don't know how the hell that happened. I have this track is on repeat for a reason. Don't know why this man and his crew Coast Contra aren't bigger then they are but I have an idea why and it's cause the powers that be in the music industry know Coast Contra will be on top.
You about to be Huge no cap... glad I found you while your still underground... and your crew not as lit as you tbh. Can’t wait to see what stories you tell next 💯💯💯💯👀👀👀👀
this is beyond incredible- best banger I've heard in a long time- except the bathtub scene , I've heard that's some kind of requirement for the initiates of musical spellcraft. But Eric Jamal truly seems to be on a truthful, positive vibe.
I have never heard a denser lyricist. The amount of references, double entendres, and clever word play is unreal. The artistry and ability to create vivid imagery with words is legendary. Eric Jamal is my favorite poet.
@@michaeljames5863nasty flow when u chop up imagery, the artistry, and ability. Theart-istry anda-bil-ity to-create-vivid-ima-gery (now back to normal flow) with words is With ya pen, I’d end up in the pen, cuz of these sharp minded bars in my Wooooonder *why* you cant cuz *I* simply scrape the *sky* This higher plane ain’t ish for the therefore I scarecrows away with my way with all while the best [decomposer] can’t [comecloseto] [composen] the mental artillery within my [holster.] (2 second pause, if there was a beat it’d go silent like when the beat stops on that one coast freestyle and Rio comes in like “and I’m back”) So pick my style later. Drop jaws (speed it up) harderthanalligators. My breath control onDarth Vader. Wutang bars slice through-the-darkness like light sabers. I could keep going, but I can’t be out here handing out careers 😂😂 nah I’m playing what u think tho. U gotta find the right flows for it to flow correctly but it should flow nicely. I tried to spell out the certain flows and syllable combinations.
@@michaeljames5863what do you think of the lyricism though? Corny or aspirational of lyricists like eric jamal? Gotta peep the alliteration leading to standing scary and all the other wordplay to give me credit 😭 they don’t understand cuz I stand tall like a sky scraper sized scare crow, higher plane consciousness like a higher air plane, ain’t for the birds, metaphorically inclusive of those I call crows and hawks, being dominant decomposers in their eco systems who pick at dead food. Maybe “pick my food for thought later” would be a better line tho, harder to flow tho and idk how much sense it makes with what I’m trying to say. Anyways then darth Vader cutting through the darkness (dark side of the force) with wutang sword bars but since we on Star Wars topic we say lightsabers. Darkness for symbolizing the forces of evil running the world and how my lyrics are weapons and will fight said “darkness.” Hard to judge the flow of something reading it from a stranger, but lyrically what u think out of 10. A quick little 20 minute writing sesh
This Guy is FR the future of hip hop... man this is a breath of fresh air in the current musical climate... the dedication is forefront, and not repeating himself over and over is brilliant
Answered your own question. The masses and those who curate what they hear are scared of real hip hop, unfortunately. There’s only a few in the mainstream who can rap like this
I love how for the last quick verse it's just him stone cold in the street. Like yea man, you don't need to see this, just listen. Eric Jamal is crazy talented.
The Power of Now, The Intelligent Investor, Rich Dad Poor Dad.... his intelligence, lyricism, and delivery is subliminal. No need to be dripping in fashion. Video production was awesome 👌
