I think it's a reflection of weird RU-vid algorithms and perhaps the obscurity of Piedmont blues as a whole that your teaching videos are not more widely viewed. This time, I might actually just end up finishing this entire lesson!
your playing is terribly unprofessional. your accent even worse to endure listening to it. why are you doin this videos without really practicing until you get it right... ahhh sorry i completely forgot you maybe could be an american and your main audience is also american .. im 100% serious about what i write, especially your unawareness of how beautiful a guitar can sound if you play music with it, not just notes
Everyone is entitled to his own opinion about the type of music or guitar playing one prefers, and the standards one sees as perfection. (1) Regarding practicing until I get it right: since this is my composition, I can assure you that I know that it is being performed correctly. (2) I am quite sure that you know little about blues, nor ragtime blues, nor about finger style guitar in general. I have taught this style, as well as jazz and other styles at universities, music festivals and workshops internationally. A good deal of my record sales are international also, so I guess you do not have your finger on the pulse of international music tastes. (3) If you took the time to read who published this video, you would see thatI was hired to teach this lesson. It is not something I decided to post by myself for your entertainment. The internet has given individuals an opportunity to anonymously criticize other's work. This type of criticism is neither constructive nor meaningful. As for your criticism of America (and American tastes), we musicians do not make our country's policies nor determine the parameters of our culture. We are the goodwill ambassadors sharing the universal language of music with our brethren around the world.
