He is a true inspiration to drummers around the world. Never have I saw a clip, vid or anything where he acts like he's more then you, no matter how damn good he is. Always good to see someone with that much talent be so humble.
I own 3 pairs of Eric's D.O.P.E. drum sticks and love them...Eric is gifted way beyond this world...he's the Bruce Lee of drums and my favorite drummer!!!
Great Music Good feel well a lot of his stuff is 32nd notes so playing a quarter of the notes would mean playing 8th notes. So you CAN theoretically play a quarter of what he does
Buddy Rich's hands or just as fast but not on a six or seven piece drum set that's where it shines is being able to move all around the kit in 360 degrees with the speed that Buddy Rich had on just a snare drum truly amazing
You hear unfortunately of those who sold their souls to the devil for fame and fortune,This man Eric Moore is what it looks like when you give your soul to The Lord!!!Some May be jealous and have hate because of how easy this master of the drums makes it look,But I can honestly say as a fellow drummer,That I have so much admiration and appreciation for how he applies his skills on a drum set!!!I know(and I’m not too shabby if I don’t say so myself)that I will probably leave this earth(life)before I get to the level he’s on,But I’m entertained by what he does as it allows us to see so many possibilities even if we are not trying to play exactly like Eric it shows us there’s a lot to learn on our journeys to becoming the best versions of ourselves!!!!Thank You Eric!!!
Eric Moore going beast mode on his kit in front of the a VH tribute band's kit (which is on a riser) shows you how ridiculous our music business is. No disrespect to "Unchained," I'm sure they are good; but if I was their drummer and saw Eric Moore was in the opening act, I'd be like "Eric, please use the drum riser; I'll put my drums on it after you are done." I'd love to know where/when/what event that was!
My guy that’s the most flat minded thing I’ve ever seen. Drums aren’t only there to keep time, otherwise every drummer would just play tap on their hats so the band can play. Even though that’s true, in almost all of these clips he’s playing solo, and has free reign of what he’s playing because he’s not cueing anyone else.
You can’t do what Eric does, so don’t try. You can watch him every second of your life and never understand how he does this. Same thing applies to a fish-you can watch a fish swim every day for the rest of your life and never learn how to breathe underwater. 🤓
I dont like that attitude. Anything can be done. You can transcribe Eric Moore and practice hard every day and be able to do what he does, (not saying he's not great but...) just like you can figure out a way to breathe underwater. Jacques-Yves Cousteau: inventor of the scuba tank a.k.a. Aqua-Lung a.k.a. somebody figured out how to breathe underwater pretty much lol. Anything is possible man, just practice and study.
Actually, I have been studying his way of playing for almost 2 years, both groove and gospel chops, and yes, after those 2 years of study, now I know what he does and I can also decipher what he does while he plays it.
@@ryry_creeds I was merely being colorful while trying to say that Eric is the best. So now I’ll say to you that you will never be able to play drums as incredibly as Eric. Whiner. Go. Ty to someone else.
He seems to have switched to Paiste Cymbals, but that company's products are too one dimensional for someone like Eric. That's why, other than Eric and Vinnie, you almost never see monster licksters playing their products.
Just as many other small-minders do, readers misinterpret my words. Nobody said "absolutely no greats" do use Paiste ‐‐ I said you [almost never] see monsters who are known for speed-licks using Paiste products. Will Kennedy of the Yellowjackets left for Zildjian, and the well-known educator Mike Johnston left Paiste for Meinl, because he needed a more multi-dimensional product.
