u r a person of honor, just named my two fav radio stations i grew up with GTA 4 and loved the game even more, because it was the first game with such good music! i loved that music before but never knew what the genre was called or what to search for
It's a testament to the power of harmony, honestly. The melody is just 7 notes long, comprised of 3 distinct tones played highest to lowest, and then repeated over and over and over again. But the changing chords in the baseline changes the quality of the melody, creating an aural illusion of a changing melody even though it's still the same 3 tones over and over. The harmonization makes it work when such a simple melody would, in any other circumstance, barely be considered a melody
@@Mr.SouthWest25 Most people will say this can be played by child and it is true, but producing something so simple and at the same time complex is impossible.
A shame he temporally lost his own masterpiece. I was sad that I last heard this song (before re discovering it last year with this video when It got recommended to me) in 2014 when it was used in a dvd (with a few other songs) from a school trip I did that year where loads of photos were put on
@@damageinc6538 He simply felt the need to expand, as it should be, trying to reach foreign audiences at the cost of "abandoning" its historical fans and we are talking about more than a decade (myself included). I try to give you an example of what he was for us through my experience with his RU-vid channel. The first time I saw a video I was just 8 years old (now I'm almost 20) and from that moment I was struck by it, from that moment I began to follow him until (about a year ago), with the decision to bring only DBD in the English language, the magic disappeared, many people no longer recognized the real Zeb89 and this was overwhelming for his community. In fact it is for this reason that now everyone is looking at his old videos of his golden age of his career. For us, for RU-vid Italy he was and will remain a LEGEND. Cit. I will never forget my first night in a disco, a little drunk, after my degrees in 2008, and this song came up. The slow build ups, the lights and smoke in the club, the people dancing, the melody, a little flirt with a girl.. All those things combined made it feel like the time stood still. There was absolutely nothing to worry about, everything was in the right place and the right time.. I tried many times, but i could never repeat that feeling. Must've been one of the best moments in my entire life.
amazing how some guys have such an instict to build melodies, right? Prydz is a master at it. There are also other legends, such as Deadmau5 and Calvin Harris (as much as I hate his mainstream appeal he really knows how to build a hook). These guys built carreers out of making a really nice 8 bar melody and looping it with varying intensity for 3+ mintes
Eric prydz has a knack of taking basic notes/chords and transforming them into so much more. The average producer tries this.... We're bored of the track after 32 bars lol. The Man is special
I can’t believe I didn’t hear this song when I was 6 in 2008. I only heard it in 2014 at 12 as it was used in a dvd from a school trip with all the photos. I’d been trying to find the song since until YT finally recommended it last year as I didn’t get the name
@@mehdihani2932 "you could just ask your mom then" it could go either way you saying he shouldve asked when he was a child or just to ask now, and id think if he was mentioning he USED to hear it with his/her mom id assume she wouldnt remember it regardless lol, Get it?
@@levimorningstar2562 🤣🤣🤣🤪 mdrr Xptdr... De quoi tu parles là ? Qu'est-ce Tu veux prouver dans ce commentaire très beau lorsque l'on est ouvert sur le ressenti.. I don't know why I love this tune, whether it is the progressive buildups and production or whether those few notes just somehow capture a sentiment of "keep going"... "there's hope"... "remember the amazing times you've had"
im approaching 43 now and i have no idea what current bangers are. any pointers? i keep coming back to the older stuff besides the grand pablo benuit mashup of beautiful people and tim, there is this great remix AND video of "owner of a lonely heart" - whats on that level? idk
Questa canzone mi fa venire voglia di vestirmi così: Jeans, maglietta a maniche lunghe rossa sotto, maglietta a maniche corte nera sopra e occhiali da sole

The roof is down, its a bit cold but the 1k sound system in the Mustang is kicking it out. People are looking at a 69 year old kid rocking life in the UK
Damn Pryda is simply pure art. Underrated as hell, I believe his legacy will live long after he's gone. I hope Sweden knows what kind of a special artist they have and honor him
this song everytime recalls a specific memory i have of a summernight.... club was really full, everyone was sweaty but dancing with full joy skin on skin, dry ice blown down the ceiling, ppl with dilated pupils or closed eyes hands in the air....was quite like atrance for the whole club...^^ Love, Freedom, and no worries❤🙌 🔊🔊🔊
