The essence of coaching is raising awareness and responsibility to unlock potential and maximize performance. Awareness is created through broadening perspectives and improving the focus of attention. We can’t improve something of which we are unaware. John Whitmore wrote, “I am able to control only that which I am aware of. That which I am unaware of controls me. Awareness empowers me.”
confusedwhale Lol, but the reality is that most probably aren’t able to do that. You’re talking about a lot of over-confident people without good people skills who end up pissing off or stressing out employees instead of motivating them. They’re concerned about themselves, maybe their friends, but not the “team.” Makes sense that they need someone to address this specific type of problem. They’d most likely end up more profitable by doing this.
