M kindaa confused...Isn't it important what a person thinks of himself and not what the world thinks of him since everyone will have their own views....???
Ankit C you are confusing what motivates you with knowing your worth. You can only be successful if you do what motivates you from the inside out. If you hate your job you will not reach the next level. If you worry about guarding your image so people always see you some type of way you, yourself, will never be happy. However, if you want to know your worth you need to look at how others view your worth. ET had talked about knowing he was capable of more but others couldn't see it. He was aware of this and it drove him to get to a place where others could see it too (like when he quit his job at Michigan State to pursue speaking and his wife was not impressed because she couldn't see it providing the life she wanted for their kids). In this video it seems he is saying he surpassed all those expectations. He reached a level he didn't know he was on and didn't even know existed. He had never seen that level from where he grew up. It wasn't until he realized he was on the level of Les Brown or Tony Robbins that he started to ask for their speaking fees. At your company, you are only worth as much as your manager and their manager see you as being worth. If you are an entrepreneur, you are only worth as much as your market sees your product or service as being worth. If they can't see it, then it is up to you to convince them.
hes saying that you probably see yourself smaller than most see you in the world so if you take E.Ts example he thought he was worth 10,000 dollars but his clients see him as worth much more therefore E.T gave his past clients a very good bargin for 10,000 dollars
