Kejuan Lynette God said cheating (a form of emotional abuse) and physical abuse are reasons that people can undergo divorce........ “Let no man put asunder” does not have anything to do with a husband cheating. Especially when the man putting it “asunder” IS the husband. God gave everyone a way out of tempting situations... yet her husband thought more of his private parts than he did of his marriage. Not sure that “let no man put asunder” covers this. Man y’all will condone any abuse and then cherrypick bible verses out of context to justify it. Last.. Erica can stay with her cheating husband if she likes. Nothing is wrong with that. But she needs to be careful when she does interview like this and contorts what God intended for marriage. When she said in this interview “well we did say for better or for worse” she made a grave mistake. That’s like a womans husband using a knife to stab her and the woman saying “well we did say for better or for worse”. Forgiveness does not mean to re-enter a toxic situation. Yes, she can work on her marriage.. that’s HER business... but she needs to stop justifying her husband’s actions by saying “well I was at work too much” and “well we said for better or for worse”. God said it is better that someone take a large stone, tie it with a rope around his neck, and throw it into the ocean than to lead EVEN ONE of his children astray. This interview Erica did was very misleading. And I’m sure many women are now blaming themselves for their husbands toxicity or believing they signed up to be cheated on by saying “for better or for worse”.

I don't think this behavior is learned I believe she did want to leave her husband but thought about what commitment she made with God like she stated for better or worse. One thing I can say is this truly tries to follow gods word and don't think she did anything different from other women did that had cheating husbands or boyfriends.

Cheating in a marriage is excepted

Gilbert I agree! Today divorce is the first thing that comes up when trouble hits a marriage. People can work past infedelity and make their marriages work. Erica is a living modern day testimony. We should not be so quick to run to divorce. If her and her husband were able to work through the infidelity, why are others so upset about it? Why are people mad she forgave him? Why are people upset he told the truth? Why are they upset they did not hold the past hurts and pain against one another? Why are they upset they were able to successfully navigate marital conflict in a healthy way? My guess.....because of their own personal hurt they experienced and inability to move on and forgive. People project on others what they can not cope with themselves. I myself am guilty and learning to do better. I commend Erica for sharing her testimony and pray others will learn the bigger lesson from this story as it is multidimensional.

There is sin mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6 that is greater than the others, and it is sexual sins because it is committed against the body(s). All other sins is outside of the body! This is the only time you are permitted to divorce!

@@Dobbie890 actually that’s not what Paul is referencing when he was writing to the Corinthians. I think you would really enjoy Tony Evans commentary Bible where it breaks down each scripture. In referencing sexually immortality, Paul is saying the body is not for sexually immortality thus meaning when God created sex it was for procreation and intimacy between a husband and wife within the convenant bond of marriage. Paul furthermore explains fleeing sexual immortality is important because by joining sexually to someone other than your spouse into an illegitimate Union is committed against the body. (Tony Evans Bible Commentary). Also Jesus said let he who is without aide cast the first stone. To say cheating is a bigger sin because it is committed sin against the body as well as Christ since we make up the body of the Church and the Church is his bride, is almost like saying those who commit suicide is going to hell to say that sexual sins is bigger than other sin.
