Thanks to Erica for sending over the units, love the Drum Sample. I'll be using the modular set-up in the future with the Amiga, Atari and Akais. Making tracks and ideas with it is MEGA funs though, lots more tunes to come...
This is a great demo ! I was wondering, in your opinion does the sample drum's bitrate sound comparable to an s950 / older sampler? It would be an awesome video to see you do a shoot-out between the two using the same break.
i was already looking at pams workout and rample.........adding this badboy erica synths module aswell would be fooking insane. im just waiting for apple to sync me a few tunes so i can afford it haha ; )
Pete, your the fuking master. And I like that you take up every inch of space. That's what my studio look like hahah I'm glad I'm not alone. Fantastic sounds.
I've just done a remix of it for Jimmy J, so I was playing around with it in the modular. it's a different amen pattern done with the sample drum separated from the piano. my remix will be out on vinyl in a few months, it was mostly done with the old akai sampler ;)
@@n4records924 A remix?! Nice teaser, can't wait to check it out as It's one of my favorite piano tracks. Wished pianos and breakbeats made a return. Curious if you also sampled the phone call at the end heh
This is such a novice question but is there any need to tempo sync your break beats to the bpm of your underlying track(like if you have a 160 bpm 4 on the floor) or it just the fact that you are slicing them up makes groove so nicely?
@@farmboyd6019 Since no one else has jumped in, it depends on the sample. A single hit, not so much. But, if your sample contains two or more hits then beat sync is required to ensure every hit contained in the sample falls on grid/on beat/in ratio to the rest of the track. Hope that makes sense :)
@@a_changedworld what you mean by beat sync.ive just bought rample & noticed that the sample will run out if not same bpm.i didn't have this issue with the octatrack.Does beat have his sequencer at the same BPM as the sample here do you know or do you know if this sampler won't have this issue because all of Pete's sound perfectly on time
you can get much smaller cases. the unit just needs to be powered. theres also rack cases that will fit in a classic studio rack. you could fit about 4 or 5 modules in that depending on size ;)
