In this video, we will take a look at the Pico Drum2 module from Erica Synths. It is a 3hp small module that comes with 8 different algorithms, to create drum and percussion sounds, and even more.
In this video, I especially want to show how many different sounds can be created with this module.

I love your tutorials. Could you do one on the Pittsburgh Synthesizer Box if you happen to get your hands on one? Also the Doepfer A-121-3... I've had difficulty finding clear tutorials on these two modules. Obviously only if you are interested/want to. Thanks :)

Hi sarah, first of all thank you, glad that you like what I am doing here. As for the Pittsburgh Synthesizer Box, I do not own one. It looks very interesting though, but seems to be a discontinued product. And for the A-121-3, I plan a video on two other filter modules from Doepfer, but the A-121-3 is currently not on my shopping list. But looking at the functions, I did a demo of the TipTop Audio Forbidden Planet, which I very much like, and also gives you the possibility of low pass, band pass and high pass. Pico 2 is ass IMO because it costs the same as the first one BUT you can't play more than one sound. I like the first one better.

Hi Michael, I also like the first one more, but I don't think the Pico DRUM2 is bad at all. Both modules have a very different concept. The first one is actually more a sample player loaded with drum sounds, whereas the second one is a drum synthesizer with different algorithms that can be adjusted. I have 3 Pico DRUMS modules which I often use to make drumbeats, and 1 Pico DRUM2 module that I use for when I need more of an effect or experimental sound. So both have their benefits, it depends on what you want to achieve. But I am with you, for a drumbeat, the first one is definitely ace, especially with the two triggers per module.
