Out of all the crime my partners and I committed over 3 years on a small island out in the Caribbean, I only got front page in the local paper once, with a picture of a Jeep being pulled out of Waterfront. I had tried to steal the Jeep, got one tire in the gutter of the highway and it stalled, I put it in reverse intent on putting it back only to find the brakes didn't work that well either. I jumped out just as it went over. Jeeps don't float; they sink like a rock. A guy came out of Sparky's screaming "That's my Jeep!" and I prudently ran, went down a dead end alley by accident, went up the stairs on the side of the alley and the door was locked. I pulled myself up on the roof, and he was following so I decided to jump superman style across the 20 feet of alley to the roof about the same height, but with a slant. I landed with about half my thigh on down hanging off, and had to dig my finger nails into the metal to keep myself from sliding off and falling a good 20 feet. I went a short way down the building to an abandoned garden and hid below a barred window out to the alley I just jumped over. Two cops showed up, one called out "We know your in there, come out!" and I was close enough to hear the other cop quietly say "He is long gone, lets go." I stayed until about 8am in the morning, all night holding one of the $20,000+ worth of watches we stole from Mountain Top ready to toss it.

One time I got pulled over on the highway for speeding (only 13 over) right after I hotboxed the last of my weed with a bong, I got searched and arrested for possession of paraphernalia. The cop didn't even try to give me a DWI though, I think he knew it would be too hard to prove. Fortunately they had a first-time offenders program though and I was able to get it wiped off my record! Just had to stay clean for 6 months and do some community service.
