Haha fun fact about King Charles xii (Carolus rex), during that time the church was the one that crowned new kings but he did not feel the need for the approval of the church and therefore declined a coronation. However, with the crown already on his head, he rode to Stockholm Cathedral to be anointed with holy oil.. So he basically crowned himself king 😂Born to rule indeed!

No. Magnus Eriksson was 3 years old when he was elected king in 1319, a year after the infamous banquet of Nyköping. You know, throwing the dukes (Magnus' dad and uncle) in the dungeon when they were sloshed after the party, throwing the key in the river and all that stuff? I could go on for quite a while about the dungeon and what's left of the castle etc; I might have visited once or twice, or a few hundred times. Anyway, last time I checked three was younger than 15.
