I actually regard this song as one of THE great lost pop/rock songs. Tragic it`s not better known. I`d have loved to have seen this entered into the Eurovision Song Contest (yes, really) when it was made. Would have won by a landslide and most importanty an audience of many millions would have heard this great song.
This song should have been huge. Probably her best in fact although the first album `COLD WINTERS NIGHT` was the most consistent. Such a shame great tunes like this have been heard by so few people. Thanks for adding this video. Never seen any ERIKA videos before although I have four of her albums.
@@alexrossi4464 Yes thanks I did own a couple of Fiona albums in the past but they seem to be missing? Anyway after your recommendation I`ve been listening to some more of her work on here and planning to get a couple of albums at least! Erika made four albums though I wouldn`t bother if I were you with the fourth one as it`s nowhere near as good as the first three!
@@SJHUE In the United States, I don't remember ever hearing or seeing any music or videos from Erika. I discovered her recently thru RU-vid, cold winter ❄️ night , and " in the arms of a stranger, " are both available, full album! I 💕 Fiona Flanagan , here's a list of some of her best songs: where the cowboys go ( video), here it comes again, hearts ❤️ of fire ( video), casual thing, running out of night, ain't that just like love, Mariel, look at me now,, talk to me ( video), the nights we spent on earth, the list is too long! @@alexrossi4464 Hey many thanks for those recommendations! Just last night I listened to and enjoyed `Hearts on Fire` and `Talk to Me` and a few others. Don`t think I recognise the other titles off the top of my head but I shall listen to them all. Erika`s first album was one I saw in a shop and took a chance on because it featured Yngwie Malmsteen and glad I did as I absolutely loved it! The second album `Arms of a Stranger` I liked especially the title track which I think is fabulous. Third album not quite as strong but still pretty decent. The fourth album just doesn`t come anywhere close to the others for me. Thanks again definitely going to get back again into Fiona!
Erika used to sing in a Metal band from Skellefteå (Swe) in the eighties (with Johan Karsikko on guitar)! They always drew a big crowd, but they weren't there to listen to the band, they were there to look at Erika!
Jag var i tonåren då, det var ett hårt jobb med alla tjejer men jag offra mig. :) Bästa tiden var 80-talet och var hårdrockare. En gång rockare alltid rockare (obs har långa håret kvar 20år senare ) Rock Hard !!
I removed this song from my favorites since I almost never listend to it. But I missed it so much I had to put it back there! :D Really great song! Erika looks a bit like Susie Päivärinta of Lili & Susie. Don't you think?
Pretty good song indeed, but where is the guitar solo? :P Cool thing that she was dating Yngwie at the time of this song... which is the only reason I stumbled upon this song by the way ;)
