Yeahh, he is a bit chad-like in a way. But to him, I'm not sure if Rudeus even sees this second life as 'real life'. At least not for a while. In the early books, he often compares certain events and situations to video games. And in the recent books, he says he's never truly gotten used to 'Rudeus'' face. He's familiar with it, but it isn't his. It could be that he's just living life like it's just a story or a game and isn't taking it too seriously. That's why he's so lax about training, why he'll do 'things' to Eris that puts consent into question, and why, even in it's either this episode or the last, he said that he'd forcibly have his way with Fitz (before he knew she was Sylphy but knew she was a girl) if he didn't start to recently care about her. I don't think it's until S2P2 that he really thinks of this life as a real life. I won't get into why because of spoilers, but it could be that. And it's at that point in the series that he's already swooned the 3 women closest to him, so he gets to benefit from the chad life even though he, now, takes things a bit more seriously. idk I could be wrong, maybe he always thinks of things as a video game from beginning to end, but I think that explains his boldness which gives him the qualities you described.
