thesupervader400 and now they made him enemies with the very heroes he helped save in the original timeline. Fuck these writers for ruining this potential from happening on screen in cutscene form.
JERROD'S ENDING: Thought to have been killed by Shao Kahn long ago, Jerrod's spirit was called to Edenia by Argus to fight in the final Mortal Kombat. He created a clone of himself while he escaped to Earth. Known as the Great Kung Lao at the time, his soul was forced along with other Edenians to become Ermac for Kahn. With Liu Kang's help and Blaze's defeat, Jerrod and the Edenians were restored. He is now reunited with his wife Sindel, daughter Kitana, and descendant and son in law, Liu.
Nick Redbear yeah especially when they think Ermac is inherently evil despite him becoming a good guy in the original timeline after Kenshi freed him from Shao Kahn’s control. He used to be a badass until the new writers screwed him up after MK9 with the dumb MKX comic and story of MKX and MK11.
This ending along with Liu Kangs & Shujinkos ending were good. Shame however that suddenly everybody died in Armageddon & the story took a twist being rebooted in MK9. Not that i hate the MK9 & X storyline but i do miss the original timeline.
I always felt that Armageddon was not what was originally supposed to happen next. It seems like the one being was next that maybe wouldve lead to armageddon but for the most part Amageddon seemed to just connect Deception and Armageddon as best as they could (which actually wasnt too bad) then end the story on an ambigous note. I hate the time travel idea they implemented in MK11.
@@ShiftyGuy777 same here. It always just leaves confusion and unanswerable questions. It also doesn't really fit a lot of stories it just seems like it's one of the modern day story telling themes that has to be used these days in everything.
@Martin Toledo yeah I found that out as well which is interesting. I didn't know about the story continuing after the fact though. Rebooting the franchise after quite a few years away from a mainline game was the best option. I love the 3d era games the most but I can aknowledge that the old arcade style was the most popular and what the series needed. I didn't mind them using time travel too much in that game at the time since it seemed like it would have led to another timeline that would've lasted for awhile but then they decided to just scrap it after one game and give us time wars for some reason. And yeah Kronika sucks. They shot themselves in the foot by having the manipulator of time be the antagonist. These modern stories get more and more half assed for the sake of cool moments. Not my thing but it's popular these days so it's whatever I guess.
I'm hoping they make Ermac good again. The forces of light sure could use his help against Shinnok. Would be awesome to have Scorpion in there as well, if they could somehow make him see how Quan Chi tricked him.
Original Timeline Ermac takes Original Timeline Sindel to a bar and drink away their pain for how they're used in the timeline. Tabs on Ermac because they knew Sindel got it WORSE.
The power scaling here is notable. If you told me Ermac was "more than a match" for the earthrealm henchmen, sure makes sense. But them plus Kitana and Kung Lao? More than a match? By Raiden's hat, what poor sould fought this guy during Shao Kahn's invasion of earthrealm?
Well, when this came out, the "force" was The One Being. So it's foreshadowing...just not for Kronika. Or another possibility is that Ermac sensing all of this is counting down to Armageddon and the coming of Blaze. We'll never know.
@@SMAXZO wow,it's Clearly the one being,he's been mentioned many times throughout out the entire game,he was mentioned in shujinko's bio for fuck sake, what other character influences shao kahn or onaga to merge all the realms? Blaze and kronika never wanted the realms to be merged, seriously does anyone even pay attention to lore?
This Ermac will return in MKX, the one attempting to write their wrongs while until the control of Shao Kahn. Hell I think he might fight for Raiden against Shinnok's forces.
LISTENING The one ermac sense in his ending in deception:Was the one being, thought I let everyone else know, before some stupid mk11 fan says it's kronika(which it isn't)
HA! All of Ermac's accomplisments in the NRS timeline are grabbing boxes one by one and destroying Jax's arms, and FALLS to his death in MK11... EVEN THOUGH he has the ability to FLY. Fuck the person who comes up with this unceremonious bullshit writing.
@@Kreedbalboa Watched it, and it's nothing but speculation. It's never told that they are less powerful. They may be 'zombies' but they still have their own minds. This could just be a plothole on Netherrealm's part. Not to mention, he said Scorpion never did anything special, despite Scorpion being the one who killed Bi-Han, who was strong enough to defeat gods like Fujin, defeated Kuai-Liang, and made Quan Chi run away from him, the same Quan Chi who defeated Shang Tsung in the opening of Deception.
Here is a fight for you: Ermac Vs Shang Tsung. A person made of hundreds of souls combined into one being Vs a man who steals the souls in order to gain more power. I wonder who would over-power the other in kombat of the mind, body, and soul...eh souls?
@Loader2K1 Ive heard she was playable in the PSP version (aka Unchained). Sort of pisses me off though, considering Kitana's my main MK girl. Always has since MKII.
Wow! Endings like this really make me miss this MK. If NRS would have done this ending it would have been Ermac killing everyone (mercilessly and graphically) before being betrayed (by let's say Sindel because why not at this point) and being killed himself! Then Sindel kills herself after betraying herself from another timeline! ROFL.
No, he could sense it wasn't over yet. And it wasn't since Armageddon happened. MK9 is the past with different occurences, so he couldn't possibly sense that.
I loved how they made Ermac a good guy and creates a relationship with Kenshi for him Sad there wasn't enough time for them to develop it and for us to see more good guy Ermac. Ermac is my main. I loved his Deception voice more than his MK9 and MKx voice. I also hated is dying mummy look. But I do appreciate how in the new MK1 Kenshi isn't a telepath, he attacks with his ancestors souls. Because Ermac hasn't been there to teach him telekinesis Obviously in MKX they said screw it and just gave Kenshi telekinesis anyway
@flameshooter07 Dun worry, they were evil at that time in original timeline too. Cyrax became good after(or during MK4) and Ermac became good cometime between Mk4- Deadly Alliance and made his return in Deception. I bet that Ermac will turn good in next MK, since Shao Kahn got punished by Elder Gods which would mean the bound is broken=they are free, hell, maybe his ending will become canon and he'll reassume his position as king of Edenia.
The Ominous force shujinko is refering to Is the One Being and is using warriors like Onaga and Shao Kahn to merge the realms together to Insure it's return
I though it was Blaze and Armageddon plot. In many MKD endings they wink it. Man, I truly miss this timeline, I'm not diggin the new one, it will never be as good as this... Besides, in the new lore there's no representation of the 3D era at all, just Trilogy characters everywhere :(
@@ventturah7529 kronika didn't exist when mk deception came out, ermac's ending is referring to the one being, little kids like you should stay away from MK.
@@SupportGamin2024 i said MAY BE, Just a possibility. When It comes to mortal Kombat anything is possible. Maybe you are the kid here since you don't accept diferent opinion. Try with another one.
Also I know by ominous force they meant the people sending Blaze on his quest/Blair himself. But I like to believe it was Kronika now that we know she was manipulating timelines
He was actually sensing the One Being. It's been the central, hidden controlling force of Deception and the games that came before it. The whole Kamidogu business was basically it subtly controlling Onaga into merging the realms to be reborn through someone else
Really it was Mileena who was in both Ermacs & Sindel's Deception endings its just that her outfit was pallete swap to blue with kitana's face & hair bangs from her Mortal Kombat Unchained ending...
+Jack Raiden Because ermac in the New timeline is still under Shao kahn` control while in the Original was also under Shao kahn`s control but was freed by Kenshi( this should have happened in Mkx Story mode).
Do you guys think when it said, "He sensed however, that an ominous force still shaped the destiny of the realms" was a reference to Armageddon or Kronika?
@TheTrueGamer66 the one being(which deception explained)is a powerful being that existed along with the elder gods,it would feed on their energy, and the elder gods waged war against it,they created the kamidogu and used it to defeat the one being, the one being's consciousness/essence was split into six pieces, would become the realms, which we know as earthrealm, outworld, netherrealm, chaos ,orderrealm and edenia, basically everything in the mk universe is apart of the one being
@TheTrueGamer66 the villians lustful desires of wanting to merge and conquer all of the realms(shao kahn, onaga, shinnok, shang tsung)is all due to them being unknowingly under the one being's influence, who subconsciously seeks to merges, the realms so it become whole again, this is why deceptions plot solely focused on onaga, attempting to merge the realms
I liked the story of Armageddon and especially the Konquest mode. But what they did in MK9 dissapointed me a lot.I mean everyone died.In Armaggedon,it says Taven would just keep them at bay.It didn't say about Shao Khan winning or anything. If you ask me,in the next game,it should be the continuation of Armaggedon where Raiden is dead but everyone else is alive. And then Taven will have to take his place or something. But not everyone is dead.Maybe only a few worthless characters like Shujinko.
@@ShiftyGuy777 it is NOT Kronika It's obviously the one being,if you actually read Ermac or shujinko's bio(you can easily find it on RU-vid, or unlock it in the krypt),they clearly speak of the one being being the one responsible
