Ermes is 29 years old and the progress he has made there is no doubt he will be multiple World Champion. We have basically watched him grow up in the sport. He is a sponge and just soaks everything up with out ego but with alot of pride. I love both these guys but Vitaly seems to have platuaed, it will be interesting to see how much he is willing to sacrifice to get to the top. I mean he is right there but I don't think he is into the pancakes as far as I know.
Right, in my opinion Vitaly is the one with the greatest potential of all but he doesn't give 100%. He is literally a giant with very long levers and excellent side pressure, but I think he uses much lower doses than the others. If he put on another 5/8 kilos of muscle we would already see the difference.
what's interesting to me about vitaly is that he has a lot of room to improve from technique to musculature, and yet he is still so dominant. If he really commits he will be at the very top in due time
Yep, but it's not easy if you don't have extra support. I'm not talking only about PEDS (Vitaly never gonna do something like that) , also time to train, sleep and eat a lot but he is a man driving a truck.
@@phothewin6019Indeed, at this point is just speculation, but in that camp I do agree that he probably still has a good amount of improvement reachable specially compared to the other superheavies
That's exactly what people said about Vitaly years ago. Look at him now. He couldbt max it out. He will be fotever top 3 or 5. He cant be more than that
@Bleach6.0 Levan can't be number 1 in Georgia if he hasn't beaten Zurab. Denis can't be number 1 in Russia if he hasn't beaten Schoolboy. Jerry can't be number 1 in USA if he hasn't beaten Larry Wheels. Ermes can't be number 1 in Italy if he hasn't beaten me.
lets be honest, if vitaly somehow manages to gain a lot of strenght, he certainly has the beat genetic potential in the sport to be nr1. even better genetics than devon
@@tosgemyou’re delusion is sad. He has won one match in his last three and lost to two guys Devon played with. Devon has faced arguably three of the top 4 current superheavyweights in the past three months. He’s destroying everyone and you are talking about ducking? He ducks everyone until he destroys them. No one takes you seriously
When the ref starts pulling down on that strap you better check to make sure he ain’t pulling your hand down under the other persons. Thats why it matters
of course it will be like that, but not yet, he has no chance against Devon in his current form, and not to mention the second one, it's not his time yet
I m not a Denis hater but I don t think he would have much for Ermes, maybe if Denis gets in better shape but he needs to prove against someone a bit lower in the ranking
The rule set which they changed and had coolina talking about it for the first half hour of the ppv affected the match Greatly and you would never see this in any other sport Ermes has like 15 fouls to escape not being pinned. The score should have been 15-5 vitaly. This event was as bad as it get. Most matches aren’t competitive as with KOTT standard. And this rule set was just horrible.
I think Vitaly can become no 1 but first he needs to learn how to flop press. He always struggles to finish strong opponents after bringing the match to his side. I think he will lose to Devon if he doesn't have a flop..
The match against Devon was Ermes final piece wow, you really saw how much the hand training improved the game of Ermes, to even crack back Vitalys wrist slightly
I got in love with arm wrestling in recent years. Not only because it is fun to watch but also because the sportsmanship. And that in this sport, politics really doesn't play any role and no nations is sanctioned.
Ermes wont be taking devons wrist, even if he took it a little, like as much as georgi did, He would cup as Ermes transitioned. Devon has all angles. Would still be very difficult match. Not as simple as 'taking devons wrist' that pronation of his is a fcuking tree
Back pressure doesn't help against devon even if you have better wrist didn't you see what happened to Georgie? Only way to beat devon is side pressure not back pressure
@codyscalf7959 you need side and a cup that can control the pronator of Devon to beat him. No way he loses to backpessure alone. Ermes can never beat devon with his backpressure alone for example he needs to go to the winning side when you use a lot of back pressure you sacrifice side
Vitalik's toproll is very scary for many even heavyweight athletes, but Ermes' wrist strength has really improved since imitating Devon Larrat's training style.....thanks to Devon Larrat who is always an inspiration...!!!!
Those flash or near flash pins were possible because Ermes gasses out almost as fast as Dave Chaffee, his arm gets pumped very fast. Same happened against Devon, he got flash pinned twice in third round. But Vitaly is no Devon, so Ermes still had enough in him to make a stop.
Vitaly is good but he's overrated because of his Height and Leverage. As you saw its not that Important to have a higher leverage. There are many more factors.
Overrated? stay off the shrooms man, the guy is top 10 and as far as I know still has a real job and has not taken significant amounts of pancakes, yet he's arguably in the top 10 of the world.
@@trytthisnowk I believe that many individuals tend to overrate him due to his maximum leverage and towering arm size. In my perspective, rating someone solely on these aspects and considering them significant factors is wrong.
lol Ermes barely grinded this out...Vitaly even flashpinned Ermes. Ermes was so uncomfortable the first few rounds he even fouled out. leverage is a HUGE factor obvously.
It show's just how dominant Devon is now, I'm not so sure Levan wins every round at this point against Devon, It seems he's on another level above everyone else except Levan but much closer to him than not.
The only disadvantage ermes and denis is having short arm. Otherwise, these two are impalpable. Levan is the best combination of everything you need in arm wrestling.
@@vavilongames7233 His endurance is pretty decent though, it's his efficiency that sucks. Ermes switched to flop press, where lack of strength/endurance is compensated by your frame, and it's also a switch to different muscle groups. While Levan kept doing inefficient pure strength surges and with the same muscle groups.
@@killjoy362 I am an Ermes fan and he won, I am the opposite of upset right now. I just expressed some thoughts, but this community is too toxic, especially Devon's. I was already expecting a bunch of children in the comment section right under this one I wrote. I was clearly referring to the fact that Ermes has been working on his hand and I saw Georgi keeping center and even forcing Devon in a kingsmove. Devon was clearly stronger if that's you want to hear, but if Georgi puts him in losing position without a press, I mean it's legit for me to say that a good presser would give him trouble. I could even mention the setup thing, but I didn't so why do you guys get so much upset. I really don't get it
im speaking from a unbias perspective. as much as i recognize ermes superiority, we cant deny from a obersvant standpoint vitaly is a freak of nature in assumption that hes natural. hes one of the very few competitor that kept a consistent non dramatic change in his structute to where you cant accuse on any enhancement. but on devon, levan, ermes end, if you study and recognize hard enough and compare there past and present form, theres no denying an arguement on roid usage. so congrats to ermes, but via this match, im more impressed by vitaly. thats not considering his prior match against levan being the first to hold him in a stoppage.
@@avipandit581 yes, I know. And Liliev was not an average armrestler. He was really strong too. Most likely Liliev would have beat Devon Larratt too, any version of it.
Levan pinned ermes with his strength alone and devon and vitaly defeated ermes by the leverage advantage. And ermes used flop wrist press against levan, which was levans weakness, but both devon and vitaly hasn't got the flop wrist press, atleast not as strong as ermes.
Many people were over emphasizing the fact of long levers...wtf happened now? If only long lever was the reason for devon's victory over ermes...vitaly's lever is even longer...what happened??..devon is untouchable right now thats the problem
have you watched the first few rounds? Ermes fouled himself out because of leverage...got flashpinned even. thats how uncomfortable he was. the only reason Vitaly didn't take it is because he gassed (again) and Ermes arm strength finally allowed him to grind it out by holding on long enough. Ermes has a long way to go if he wants a rematch.
Vitaly once again showed how vulnerable Ermes is, he just didn't have the stamina (again...sadly). Ermes grinded it out, good for him, but it was not convincing at all. It's pretty clear why Devon murdered him on the table.
No running fouls. and 3 fouls to avoid getting pinned which they changed and went through when the ppv started ruined the match and the event. The match should have been like 15 to 6 vitaly. Watch the match it was shit. You shouldn’t be able to foul to not get pinned. Worst ppv I have ever bought in decades.
@@s8theninjawarrior916 he didn't toy with him. Listen to him chatting to Auden after round 5. He was too much for Georgi to.finish, but he couldn't do anything with Georgis hand and needed kings move Levan will smash Devon to the pad in the same positions and he will 💯 get devon there
