I'm preparing this piece for a recital (November 2016) and it's interesting to hear your interpretation. I note in particular that you do not observe the rests in the major key section ... Thanks for posting it.
Hallo, Joseph. Well, you heard with attention and you are right about the rests on the right hand. It is an option - such as many rests on the left hand, which are covered by the pedalization... So, I choosed to play a long line melody, without interruption of the rests, instead of playing short appogiaturas. I am sure you will play beautifully!
Some players really exaggerate the rubato in the first theme, but I like this more regular rhythmic style better. Calm and thoughtful, without any hint of hysteria.
