Ernie Ford with a little boy trying to keep the rhythm..... pretty funny stuff. Content is believed to be public domain. You can find more at www.ernieford.com
I just love to watch this over and over!! And don't you just roar with laughter when the other little bloke just has enough, gets up and just leaves.... :D
Ernie's son gave that little boy the sweetest smile and the kid glared at him and tapped him 3 times to get him to be still. His son was so cute and so happy! He sure had rhythm!! 😊
We are all still simple, wholesome and loving people. Television, news creates a false reality...switch it off....and you will be transported back. Watch people on RU-vid singing....making pies....growing a garden.....playing the piano....there you see the smiles, hear the laughter . Get together with friends and neighbors....share positive ideas, hugs and prayers! We are all still here, the only thing that has changed is our perception
Still are , look for them and you will find them. Start with the mirror . That's a big win already. Next find a grain a good in your neighbor, and let them know, what is good about them.
That rascally little boy reminds me of my deceased brother! He was a dancer who couldn’t keep still when music was playing! Loved Tennessee Ernie Ford and his voice!!
I had a manager at Intel who had been a nanny for the TEF family. She loved the experience. She always spoke of his kindness, she had shrunk his red golf sweater, given to him by Andy Williams and apparently he was very forgiving. ❣
She must have felt awful. It probably could have been reblocked, but not everyone knows that. I lost one too, a favorite, to someone else’s laundering it, without my request, and it was long gone before I found out they can often be restored. To this day, I don’t let others do my laundry. Any time someone has done something to “surprise” me, it’s gone horribly wrong, even costing a small fortune to make right again (and still isn’t right to this day, can’t be made right if you’ve destroyed what was right). There is definitely something to the adage that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. And another one, don’t ever assume what people like or want, don’t make property decisions about someone else’s home without consulting them and keeping them in the loop every step of the way. Don’t make irreversible changes, don’t give animals as gifts, either, not everyone wants an extra responsibility laid upon them at random, and if they didn’t want such a responsibility, they should be the one to choose it, not someone else; and in general, don’t surprise people. Just do great things for them WITH their knowledge and their consent, gained without any pressure.
Adorable story! I've been a nanny and the families that appreciated me were few and far between. It didn't affect my love for their children but I can assure you that children often are jerks if their parents are. If the parents are sweet and understanding then the kids are as well, usually
I remember seeing this on tv. We laughed and laughed. It is wonderful to see it on you tube. Thank you for allowing everyone to see this over and over.
I really miss the quality and innocence that we used to have in entertainment. I like what we have now, but you just cant find this stuff anymore... except in the archives...
They had two sons: Jeffrey Buckner "Buck" Ford (born January 6, 1950); and Brion Leonard Ford (born September 3, 1952, who died on October 24, 2008, , of lung cancer, aged 56. Oh how sad that this jolly little lad passed away so young
I remember watching so many shows like this back then. TEF was always a favorite. People, we need to demand better programming for ourselves and families than the garbage they produce today.... and we we pay for. This was a fun blast from the past.
Actually we don't pay. We traded our time for ads a long time ago. If we did pay more for programming and production we'd have more leverage to decide what to show.
He had 2 sons, no daughters. Brion beside him and Jeffery in front of Brion. They have on matching shirts. The little boy that walked away at the end was not his son..
You just can’t subdue the rhythm in a child that’s got it in his bones and in every cell of his body...little girl tried to keep it down in herself, but it was oozing out of her, too! Just let it roll, they absolutely added to the performance. They either came from households where music was physically, not just audibly appreciated, or they had someone in their lives who did, no question about it. Adorable little guy!
This was my cousin Ernie :) Sadly he died exactly one year before I was born so I never got to meet him. My family says he was such a great man, and the stories they tell makes me wish so much that I could meet him! I still sing his music, and my bff in Germany actually had his Noah's Ark song in German :) It was so cool to hear his music reach that far!
@@mamakat7176 in not changing my name my grandson did it for me I gave 7 grandkids they call me KK and the 6 year old one wanted to name my channel and I let him he wrote it out on paper and gave it to me he was so happy I let him come up with the name and when I saw it wrote on the paper that’s how he wrote it down. He didn’t realize he had spelled corner wrong by using a K instead of a C and I just left it like that. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it I don’t understand why others do I honest to god don’t. Maybe they should check theirselves instead of insinuating something or perceiving something about it. Sad blame world we live in now a days.
March 2024. Always enjoy Tennessee Ernie Ford CHRISTMAS show. The little boy clapping and shaking his head is priceless. Long for Christmas joy from back in the time. Sending Texas love and thanksgiving.❤
Just loved this. Ernie was such a gentleman throughout, even though it must have been nearly impossible to continue singing, and very well at that. Thanks so much for brightening my day so much with this.
What a wonderful gentleman Mr. Tennesee Erinie Ford was. I remember seeing him as a young child growing up. If he was singing I was never far from the television. Such a beautiful voice, and such a country gentleman! I tried to never miss him when he was singing on the TV or Radio.
Hello!!! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you’re a fan ? Have a great day… Stay Safe!
We had a T.E.F. album when I was a child. Memorized the song "Noah Found Grace". Still remember the words 60 years later - "The Lord looked down from His window in the sky, said I created man but I don't remember why".....
Pretty sure the funny boy is his youngest son, Brion. His other son, Buck (Jeffrey Buckner Ford), is sitting in front of him wearing an identical shirt and at the beginning of the song, Buck is mouthing the words. Read Buck's book about his famous parents, "Point of No Return" available at Amazon or major bookstores.
Tennessee Ernie Ford was quite a wonderful male singer. I loved the songs 🎵 that he sung . He sung it from the heart . May you rip Tennessee ernie Ford.
Don't understand how Mr. Ford maintained his composure during the whole song! Had it been me, I would have broken out laughing over this kid. He was a riot! I wonder where he is now.
@@amandayoung3025 stop slandering that poor little boy! You've been told plenty enough it's Ford's own son who isn't even with us anymore. How dare you!
I remember watching this show-- and that beautiful cute ((full of personality)) boy is Ernies son-- he stole the song and show-- we all laughed and was so impressed -- what a joy he was.. and no doubt is-- Loved that show..
Hello! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you’re a fan ? Have a great day.. Stay Safe
I saw a post before about this song. The boy sitting next to Ernie Ford is his son. Also ,one of the boys in front is also his son. Only one son is living now.
As I read these comments. I smile at the thought that people still can get enjoyment out of something so simple and pure. The ones that say we can't go back, I say to you that by just understanding what you just watched proves you can go back to a better time-------what in gods name is stopping you!
Everything is a drama. Easier time. Now everything you watch or see has to be screened. Food tasted better. Jokes were really funny not coarse. Kids were kids and could play outside and ride bikes. Thanks for the memories. God Bless.
How far have we strayed from the days of Ernie Ford? I ran into a woman I used to work with. We started talking and I asked her what she was up to. "Still working in the day care center...and on Saturday morning, I like to walk downtown and smile and say 'hi' to everyone I pass...because I know how much it annoys them..."
When you watch Tennessee Ernie Ford. He is the most perfect blend of absolute professionalism and totally embarrassed parent wrapped in a cute Christmas sweater.😂
I was 10 years old when i met a whole bunch of musical celebrities. All my friends and i were running around gathering up signatures. There was a man who had lots of people gathered around him, i handed him my lil book for him to sign, he took it and said little girl do you know who i am? I said no. He signed my book and handed it back to me and said show this to your grandma, she will know who i am. Well, i did show grandma and she exclaimed you met Tennessee Ernie Ford?! Lol i said yes, who is that?! Lol i have since become a fan.
I've seen this a dozen times and it always cracks me up? Each time I see it, I wonder how Mr Fotd contained himself though the entire sing within bursting out laughing!
THE JOY OF THE LORD IS IN CONTROL OF MAN WONDERFUL GOD FEARING MAN R.I.P. BROTHER ERNIE NOW THAT'S LIFE AMEN.THANKYOU JESUS FOR GOING TO THE CROSS FOR US. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
That is so funny! Never realized just how great of a voice Ernie Ford, WOW! I was just a kid when we watched him on TV. As an adult hearing him I am amazed at his voice.
