So happy to see Erock do this. It gives hope to other musicians that one day their passion can see them go on to greater things. An inspiration in massive ways. Thanks so much Eric!
This guy deserves it man. He is an amazing guitarist and i've followed this guy for awhile he has my highest respect. Eric keep it up brother right your living your dream keep at it brother.
In my 18 years of playing, you are my biggest inspiration, Erock!! So stoked to see you getting this exposure; thank you EMG for acknowledging this incredible, incredible talent. Let's hope that others are quick to follow suit now - this man truly deserves it!!
Eric is a music teacher, because he loves to play and teach. If you refer to his econimics I'm sure he wouldn't need his "day job" much longer. This is truly beautiful!
I see so many people complaining about his solos, its annoying really.don't listen to erock if you don't like him jackasses.I believe he is awesome and I really like his songs
It's all about how much enjoyment he's more than willing to show while he's playing. So many others look either too into themselves or too concentrated, that the only thing that comes across is "Must play guitar like a badass". Eric here plays with a huge smile and it shows that he simply loves what he's doing, and that impacts the audience just as much as his incredibly impressive playing does. Combine the two, and you have an incredibly infectious good time.
This kid is like Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Betancourt and Joe Satriani all rolled into one complete package! Absolutely the best guitar player I've seen in the past 20 years!
For any guitar gear nerds out there like me, the 'gear used' description is wrong. His signal is guitar -> boss TU-3 -> MXR custom badass modified O.D. -> MXR smart gate -> amp. You can see that fairly clearly.
so glad to hear he has own album. love the 'meets metal' stuff but this is more up my alley! love watching him play on video would die to see him live just to watch those fingers fly
All the guitarists that perform for EMG TV are actually playing (not miming to a backing track) and the audio is recorded over the top...the mixes vary a little from video to video though. Eric's mix has him a little more in front than some of the other videos is all.
Sorry mate, Tosin Abasi's EMG recording of Wave of Babies is just the audio track from the studio album (well, the single) with a video of him playing it. I'm not hating on Tosin; Animals as Leaders may be my favorite band, but that particular video is not a live recording.
