Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get any notification. It's a year later, and we have had heavy snow, high winds, and heavy rain, but it still looks brand new and solid. The only issue is the clips and dripping at those clips. I'm going to put aluminum screws and silicone to stop the dripping and allow the gutter to drive the water.
The clips are worthless. Dumbest system in the world. Here’s what I did…. After fighting with those clips for two hours and only getting one section done I stopped for the day and decided to figure out a better way. The clips are nothing more than creating downward pressure on the roof panels. So what I did the next morning is I went to a Lowe’s and bought outdoor expandable weather stripping. I was able to slide all the panels in with ease, lined them all up with the pre drilled holes and screwed them all down. Then I cut the weather stripping to length and wedged it where the clips would go. I pushed it far enough in that you can’t see the weather stripping and I finished the other three sections in literally a half hour. Worked like a dream. And the weather stripping is also working as a water barrier.
Is the roof leaking so far? We also bought a gazebo from Purple Leaf, but in our case the roof does leak. Any tips? Any feedback would be great. Thanks.
We're about to put up our 12x22 this weekend. Thanks for making this video. I was wondering how we should assemble the poles to the crossbeams. Using the ladders to hold one end was super smart.
My son-in-law put it together by himself in 5 hours. I didn't think it was possible and bet my wife it couldn't be done...I lost the bet and it looks great! very sturdy!
