I would consider him a legend in the making. Erra has been around since what 2009. It usually takes quite a while, before your really well known and your name lives on to legendary status such as Eddie Van Halen, Joe satriani, malmsteen, and several others I could name. Dude is an amazing vocalist and musician though, and I guarantee he will end up being a legend

I appreciate that he appreciates Metallica and holds them as an influence. I graduated in 2004 and so there just was no big modern metal scene in my small town when I was in high school. The new wave of American metal existed but it hadn't really blown up yet. So I was listening to old Slayer and Metallica and In Flames. That's where I started, sort of my metal pedigree. Just after high school I discovered Killswitch, Hatebreed, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, ect and I was so glad to finally find a modern version of the type of music I loved so much. But of course I still revered the older artists that I cut my teeth on. I'm rambling a bit here, but what I'm getting at is I know younger dudes who outright don't like Metallica and consider it dad rock or butt rock. And those are direct quotes. They hear "Metallica" and think Black Album, or worse, Load and Reload. They don't understand that the bands they love like Lorna Shore or Knocked Loose wouldn't exist without Metallica, just like Metallica wouldn't exist without Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin. I dunno, it's like they can't grasp the idea that a band doesn't have to sound anything like a band that influences them and you need to understand how important the ones who came before us are. Metallica. Dad rock. Lol go listen to fucken Blackened and try to tell me it's dad rock. That will always be one of the most badass songs I've ever heard. Kids these days 😆

I just got into Ghost Atlas a few months ago. I was fortunate enough to grow up in the era of killswitch, AILD, threat signal. Ghost atlas has changed my life. You definitely created something special that hits my soul different. Cheers.

So weird. I’ve only recently gotten into Erra and when I first heard them I was like “this sounds like Misery Signals mixed with Saosin”. So this all makes sense now lol. Love it. I have “Let’s make history. Let’s make history stop” tattooed across my chest. So yeah. I like Misery Signals a lot.

The vocalist of Circa (Anthony Green) is my all time favorite singer. Probably explains why I like ERRAS vocals so much. it's always cool seeing one of your favorite bands is influenced by your other favorite band

Everyone ripping on him doesn't realize he followed a much similar progression as most of us in our early 30s-40s as to what we grew up with.

Misery Signals' Controller album was a masterpiece. Had that album on repeat back in the day and it influenced my guitar playing a lot as well. Such a good record.

It all makes sense now. Metallica/As I Lay Dying/Killswitch/Deftones - mash those all together and you got something like ERRA. The last two albums are so so soooo good. Keep it up Jesse!
