Brilliant series. I've watched it over twice already. Marvelous production. Everything so authentic. Superb acting. Sound track wonderful. Hope they decide to do another series.

Watching Resurrection Ertugrul on netflix. I normally don't like to watch closed caption movies, until I found a couple of Chinese movies based the Forbidden City. Really got hooked on them, found them quite fascinating. So I gave Erty/Ar2(short for Ertugrul) a try. In the middle of E90 "Episode 166" of season 2. Been watching them for the past two weeks now. I've been really impressed at the horsemanship. Don't get the tight reins, they horses look terribly uncomfortable. My dad would be furious if he seen that. The horses look a little small, some look like American Quarter Horses........don't think those were in the middle east back then. So what breed are they, Arabian, Arabian-mix....? But the horsemanship is amazing. One guy seemed to be struggling, got a chuckle out of that. But the Kayi? alps, holy cats are they handsome!! I'm 62, and never go bonkers over looks. But I have always been a sucker for the rugged look. Fascinated about the history, so I've been doing some reading up on these characters. How the people groups contributed to the dynamics of history. I binge watch the Qing Dynasty series(their a bit loose on accuracy). And I really do appreciate that no love scenes other than tenderness shots are portrayed. We already know what goes on behind closed doors, don't need to see it. And I despise gratuitous sex scenes. My ideals on that is that the writers don't trust their own ability to capture public attention with a well written script so they substitute with naked bodies instead. So I appreciate being able to watch these series, lots of blood and death but you blur out quite abit of it too. Thank you. The 'sermons' on Islam is a bit over the top, but it is about God......what can I say. Interesting. Now if I could just get somebody to do it in English.
Totally agree with you. I started watching and into season 3. The Viking series was just too rape and violence. It got old real quick. But this series is a breath of fresh air.

I’m watching it for the fifth time. I thought they were taking it off Netflix I complained to my children and grandchildren. I really didn’t not know what I was going to do with myself. Anyway needless to say I’m still watching it. I first watched it in 2018 and I haven’t stopped. I love it. A lifetime fan from Aotearoa New Zealand.
