Placed my order today. Also added the case even though the price seems alittle high for a plastic box. Hopefully it's a bit sturdy. Looks like it will be a nice portable setup. Thanks Baker
Told my boss to get one of these for overhead gas piping postion welds. He brought me a 110 volt Lincoln 140 with .030 fluxcore wire and no shield gas saying its was way faster and stronger than any stick weld.. I'm looking for a new employer lol.
Guys, I'm so excited about this! This is the machine for me. It ticks every box, PF correction, 100% duty cycle at 90A (that's awesome!), Arcforce AND hotstart at a 600$ price point with the ESAB name behind it?! 🤤🤤🤤 I can't pass this up. I'm placing my order Friday after I get the chance to return my harbor freight titanium 225. I'm so glad the HF machine is still in the 90 day return period. Two questions, does this use inverter based technology and where is the country of origin (i.e. what does the sticker in the bottoms of the machine say it's made in / where is it assembled) ?
Awesome! We are excited for you! Please let us know how we can help. We have them in stock so you should be able to get it quickly. It is an inverter machine. No other machine at this price point comes close to matching Miniarc Rogue’s strength. You are getting really great machine and value. It is not made or assembled in the US. It is however engineered in the US and ESAB has support, service centers and customer service based out of the US. (Denton, Texas is where ESAB is based and they have a few other facilities as well) Thanks for watching!
@@BakersGas Thanks for getting back with the information! Mine came in earlier this week. Very nice machine, seems well put together. It is made in China as per the sticker on the bottom but really well built and engineered it seems. Can't wait to run it tomorrow, haven't had a chance to fire it up yet 🔥
I really wished people would knock the slag off & show us the welds more often it’s really annoying but I still loved the video. Debating on getting one but it would of really confirmed my decision if u knocked the slag off & showed the welds
I have both Esab and Fronius welders and I like them both, both quality units but one thing the Esab's are noisy as soon as you strike an arc, the Fronius welder make no sound until they are pushed to their ample duty cycle or just as you turn them off. Don't get me wrong I use my Esab 215 lots but after awhile the loud fan gets annoying and it takes 10 min to shut off after the last arc. Both makes work very well but if you want quiet while welding ,Fronius is the way to go. if you don't care then you have choices.
Hi, the esabas that I would be willing to take the es 180 i pros are reliable, I write from the hive, and here and usually use telwin or dece, but watching your videos they seem to me as excellent machines
@@BakersGas i have Rouge 180 pro and not have for the cellulose electrodes. Why they remove that option and what do that options? What is the difference?
It does have adjustable Arc Force and Hot Start. Hold the process selection button down for 3 seconds and adjust your hidden settings. We are going to make a part 2 next week we will show that! Thanks for watching.
Not particularly. It's a switching mode device so it starts out by rectifying the AC down to DC and filtering it. Variations in voltage and frequency don't seems to affect the welding that I've noticed.
On the ESAB website it says it has adjustable hot start and arc force, is that correct? What I see in the front panel that doesn't look possible, just switching between the three modes.

How does it compare to the Miller Maxstar 161? I use the maxstars at work, I want something very similar in form and function without having to drop $1,300 just because the case is blue. So far it's either this or the Everlast 161
We have a chart I can email you if you comment or message us. Basically in many areas it does outperform. Rogue has lift arc, adjustable arc force, and adjustable hot force. As far as output 180amps vs 160 amps which means slightly higher duty cycle.
@@BakersGas ESAB told me it has "live lift" which is the "I just sell welders I can't use them" way of saying scratch start. That's the only reason why I haven't jumped on the rouge.
Hey thanks for watching below is how you set up Lift Arc Tig on the ESAB Miniarc Rogue 180: Place machine in Tig Mode Connect the Tig Torch to the electrode negative terminal Touch sharpened Tungsten to the work piece to be welded on Slowly lift the sharpened tungsten off of the work piece - The arc will initiate at the amperage setting on the panel and welding can begin. Any other questions let us know!
the stinger in the pic has a yellow end so the one in this vid is black with yellow on the handle is the one in this video what you get? cause I like the one in this video.
Looking at this welder MINIARC ROGUE ES 180I I’m using the Amico 200 doesn’t run 6010 or 7018 very well even the arc force all the way up will this welder be any better wit 6010 7018? Thanks
Whats a 7 kilowatt? You mean 7000 kwatt? Will it work with 5000 or less? Im having a hard time finding a generator with a 230 socket. They're all 120 and 240. I put a 250V plug on my buddy arc 180 but Im thinking about changing to 230. Should I leave the 250 on it? Answers appreciated from anybody
I can only find that value at one reseller. I wonder if they do some mods? Paraweld presently claims 80 Amps at 100% duty cycle (continuous) and 180 Amps at 25%. Based on Parweld's claim, Esab has a slight edge at 90 Amps continuous.
Hey Scott! It will do it! We will try to get a video the next time we do a demo and post it!! Make sure you follow us on Instagram we do a lot of story videos like that
