Apparently, less than 0.1% of the Smash Ultimate playerbase uses this character. Yet somehow, ESAM convinced me that they are fun...and you know what? He might be onto something. So here's what happened when I used Mii Swordsfighter at my local tournament...

Mii swordfighter has some underrated skins. My two favorites are Arthur and Rathalos, but Goemon, Altaïr, Dragonborne, and even Dante are pretty cool.

Finally the MSF mains are rising. I like this setup for a lot of matchups. The little shuriken flickies are great for jab locks and comboing into the downb, and ftilt kills earlier than you'd expect.

Sword fighter is actually a hella fun character I personally use tornado,chakram,the same stab down b used in this vid and for up b I use the one that’s similar to octo slash since it feels like the most versatile of the 3.

I think at this point it can't really be argued... Best Neutral-B: Shuriken Best Up-B: Stone Scabbard Best Down B: Power Thrust (Only swap to Reversal Slash against projectile zoners) The only one up for debatable to me is Side-B. Chakram and Gale Stab are just as good as each other imo. Their use cases are just much different.

Swordfighter is definitely odd where he has good pokes and confirms, a throw setup that both kills and combo's which not a whole lot of characters have, meaty hit stop attacks like fsmash but doesn't really have a good base knockback or multiplier, and probably the most versatile specials which makes sense if they're supposed to be the in between for Gunner and Brawler. You also don't seem to dtilt that much going by the highlights, fun Melee Roy poke.

When they get out of the Dthrow -uair %s, Most KOs I get are usually from bairs. It is suprisingly strong and has really nice horizontal range. With Mii swordies low shorthop and fast falling speed, you can ledgetrap a bit like fox does with his bair. Also ftilt is nice, and at a bit higher %s the 7 frame dsmash also starts to KO.

Wadi, I play a lot of mii swordfighter too. I use the same dashes but I like to use the burning blade as neutral b. It makes him have 0 range but it does stall you in the air and can change up your movement. Also, Swordfighter is so much fun with the dashes

Mii swordfighter is underrated but he kinda loses to shields. All he has for shield pressure is a mediocre bair and slow nair on shield.

Not at all. Bair, d-tilt are some of the best shield pressure moves in game. Also has dthrow and gale stab cross up

That bair is meaty, frame 10 and -4 on shield. Nair is -5 on shield. Dtilt is -6

this is almost the kit I prefer, I use the whirlwind side-b when I want to be lazy and safe with recovery and the chakram when I need a more substantial projectile. I don't often need the mario cape clone but I think you'd have to pair it with the faster side special and recovery is just a pipe dream at that point lmao. I think Swordfighter's kinda wack, but shuriken is kinda good and stone scabbard is a really good up special. it's good for the Mii's recovery because of how easy it is to get under the ledge and how forgiving the ledge snap distance is on top of how dangerous the hitbox can be. it's also just enough to recover from a full hop down special edgeguard. idk how true it is but I've gotten my friend's ZSS with a shuriken > stone scabbard spike reversal a couple of times, though the spacing was probably just a mix of luck and bad habits on his part.
