Abiy has not choice to reject TPLF’s legality as a political party. At the first place why he went all the way to south Africa to sign a peace deal with a terrorist organization? He has to fulfill what he signed.
Abiy must be held to account in Ethiopia for his horrifying crimes badly hurting our nation's interests! Thank you Mesay, Meti, Abebe & Dereje for your respective programs & the common satellite program you have launched to inform especially Ethiopians daily about situations at home. It is public knowledge that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali for a while now has been isolated. Citizens accuse him of perpetrating endless conflicts, as his governance is presiding over a failing economy and swimming in the blood of citizens due to the conflicts in which he has found disturbing comfort and the evident arrogance of power. One cannot afford not to notice the prevalence of white collar crimes of Abiy's government. Often talked about is the unchecked theft of state resources, including illegal appropriation of state resources, earmarked for national programs. Such practices have openly corrupted Abiy government's machinery. Overtime this has resulted in the murder of numerous citizens outside conflict zones, about which for long Abiy and his regime have become a target of crriticisms by human rights organizations. Journalists that have tried to write about this or elected members of Parliament have been sent to prisons and subjected to tortures, even without a semblance of efforts to lift their immunity, or the courts of law failing to intervene in the face of the naked violation of their fundamental human rights. In response, how many able and hardworking journalists have fled the country is ample evidence of how much Abiy's administration does not care about the rule of law has by now become a matter of revulsion for the public. Overtime this crime against citizens' freedoms by the Abiy regime has reached the level of total suppression of rights and freedoms in Ethiopia. In turn, this has resulted in a high number of very well educated Ethiopian professionals, journalists, engineers, medical doctors, nurses, educators fleeing and continuing to flee Ethiopia. I just started reading Prof.Stiglitz's new book (The Road to Freedom--Economics and the Good Society) Wednesday June 5, afternoon, while the author is not mentioning either Abiy or Ethiopia in the pages I have so far read, the good professor's focus is to highlight how the crimes of dictators deprive society of human freedoms via their suppression of human freedoms and offers what he deems necessary measures. No diubt the world has recognized the depth of Abiy's crimes--out of which he has not still found his way out. Because of this, he's seen testing everything mean and cruel, including the assasintion of inocent Ethiopians in collaboration with Oromiya Governor Shimeles Abdisa. Abiy's interest in creating ethnic conflicts between Oromos and other Ethiopians is their ultimate objective to cover up their crimes--including abuses/thefts of national resources as their end game! Past reserve/reticence on this abandoned, everything that comes out of Shimeles Abdissa's mouth has increasingly been replete with anti-Ethiopia poison, especially against Amharas-- unrepresentative of the wider Ethiopian thinking. As a person of Oromo/Amhara extraction, I urge all Ethiopians to take note of what the corrupt Shemlis Abdisa has uttered to date. Both Abiy & Shimelis have profoundly harmed Ethiopians' interests & our nation's future! We need to open our eyes, given the depths of their crimes, because of which Ethiopia has become outcast by its neighbors and within the international system: international law is likely to be in favour of our nation & people--never the two criminals, i.e., Abiy & Shimelis! If one only reads Joseph Stiglitz's just released book one is likely only to wonder how Prof. Stiglitz is shedding fresh light on Ethiopia's tragic situation: a function of official corruption that has pushed it to the tailend of nations: be it in economic growth, diplomacy or its failed national administration, especially in the spheres of justice--under 'Emperor Abiy Ahmed Ali', who claims royality from his mother's dream for him! Wake up Ethiopians! To achieve his cursed end, Abiy is likely to start national conflict across Ethiopia in his misguided wish to escape facing his impend😂ing punishment!
