@@nezukokamado46 The best definition of flex I can ascribe to the common usage of the term I have encountered would be something along the lines of doing something differently our unnecessarily for no other reason than to demonstrate one's superiority. Escanor would never be moved to anything unnecessary by someone inferior to himself, and it just so happens he considers basically everyone except Merlin to be inferior.

People don't realize how strong Escanor is compared to the other Sins. They have to use their holy weapons to get stronger. Meanwhile, Escanor's Holy Weapon was actually HOLDING HIM BACK the entire time. Holy Weapon? More like Holy Anchor! Rhitta was only called Holy because of Escanor That has to be the biggest flex of the entire anime 👑

I feel like Rhitta was mostly just to give him a tool around dawn and dusk, when Sunlight is active but still weak. The closer it gets to noon, the less help it provides him.

Escanor is just literally the personification of convenience. Not overconfidence, just convenience because he doesn’t talk down to his enemies. He just spits facts which pisses his enemies off and then he proceeds to show them how wrong they are. Perfect way to introduce a character.

(Hawk Mama is what's left of the creator of the universe, after the brother's dad and Elizabeth's mom teamed up to try and kill her, to prevent her exitance undermining their religious status and possibly claim her power before she 'wasted' more of it creating new races. Hawk is her youngest child, born after she'd spent a lot of her power and subsequently been crippled by her kids. Hence he's an uncle to all the demons and goddess clan members.)

I think I finally got the escanor being able to move part, imagine if an ant had really killed Meliodas, that’d be sad that he died but can you really bare hatred towards such a weak creature getting the better of someone you consider so great. Like it’d be more understandable to hate Meliodas for allowing himself to fall to such weakness. Escanor still based.
