A "frog speech" recorded in 1964 by Harm A. Drost demonstrates the evolving developments in artificial voice creation after removing the larynx. After a growing interest in artificial voice production, Drost deemed that "A phonograph record demonstrating some of these forms of speech in which sounds are created without the use of vocal cords, therefore, seemed to us a useful contribution."
