So, I couldn't get a second controller to work on the game. I synced it with the Series X, I even connected it via USB. It would work on controlling the Xbox but the game wouldn't see it to play as a second player. I tried multi-player but no one ever joined. I even tried quitting the game and restarting it but that didn't work. Am I SOL?

@@RewardsHunter Thanks. I'm just wondering maybe I'm doing something wrong with the second controller. I noticed you mentioned that you signed in with it. I never signed in with more than one controller. How do you sign in with a second controller? Is that different than syncing it?
I had the same exact issue. as I tried mutiple options. I finally got it working. For me, instead of playing the game through the cloud, I ended up installing the game for it to recognize my 2nd controller. I hope that might help you.
