I so enjoy the correct use of the English language in these early films. Very interesting subject too.

In August, I attended an online lecture/webinar entitled, ‘Eject, Eject, Eject! - A Journey Through the History and Development of the Ejector Seat with Martin-Baker Aircraft Co Ltd.’. It was presented by Mr Mark Cooper, Head of the Environmental Test and Verification Dept. of the company. The company claimed that their seats had saved the lives of 7,681 pilots and they are now developing the Mk.18 seat.

God those mostaches..

Amazing techical advance

Worked on Phantoms ( 54 sqn ) and lightening's (111 sqn ) in the early 70`s and removed and fitted many ejection seats ...just love these early films

I remember when i was 10 my father took me and my brother joe to philly navy yard were he i believe ran the aeronautical dept. So when we walk up to the building they had and ejection tower that my father designed along with the ejection seat . So my dad tells me and joe to wait outside while he goes inside. Next thing we hear is a man over the loud speaker asking me first if i would suite up and take a ride up the tower😅 . I looked at my brother like no way so i yell out no sorry then he asked my brother he said no way. Then my dad walks out suited up with his co workers and hops in the ejection seat and got shot uup the tower.
