Escape From Tarkov PVE - Why Ground Zero Is One Of The Harder Maps In PVE! Why You're Dying SO MUCH! 

not to mention none of the Scavs fight the PMCs the whole map just want to kill the shit out of you.

I have played little PvE but it got me mad fighting 20+ scavs and a few pmcs just trying to get task done but being trapped always

Im down for PVE to be a difficult, punishing experience. But they really need to fix the spawns and AI on it. I never noticed the map being easier at all at lower levels. I was running into level 50+ PMCs decked to the teeth in high tier armor and ammo. At a MINIMUM they need to make the PMCs and Scavs stop cooperating with each other against the player.

Went to GZ for Peacekeeping, thinking it would be easy... Was one of the hardest maps to finish the task lol

At lvl 3 when doing this map ground zero had vll 40+pmcs with fully kitted mcx and slicks

This is definitely how it felt to me. PvE was the first time i ever played GZ and holy smokes. Never was so happy to get done and move into a different map for a bit 😅

I feel lie they need to work on the AI in general for PVE. They can see 1 pixel of you from 100 yards away and aggro to you. There is 0 stealth at all. Plus the scavs swarm the crap out of you. A lot of times they sneak up on you silently as well! Or they just spawn right behind you.

FYI, I got my shooter born here by running to the stairs near flare extract with the two dead scavs and crouching near the top. Aim towards liquor, un-crouch, fire, re-crouch. I got 6 kills this way across 3 raids. Best of luck!

I love ground zero it’s my favorite map. I do all my scav runs on. I run out to the road and just wait for the PMC’s to approach and ambush them

As a level 2 I got one tapped in the liquor store by 5.45 BP Got my shooter borns done in 2 raids though

Had not played Tarkov in like 2 years, figured I would try it again PvE mode and grabbed all my beginning quests all for this map with all my fresh recruit gear. Lost it all in the first 5 or 6 runs, had 0 motivation to buy anything to re-equip I just uninstalled.

Ngl i love this map in pve. Its my main. Way easier than streets. You just have to play super super slow. The pmcs will try to flank you based on your sound cues, i go to the bank and sit in the corner by the claymore and wait for them to come to me. Take a shotgun to make noise and beam heads all day. Did it last night 18 kills and almost 15k xp 😜. Just gotta play different from the pvp side.

The PMCs are more Cracked than Killa Its 100% to aggressive in PVE and needs to be nerf For sure!!

I finished shooter born in heaven by going up to the machine gun perch. Sniped the pmcs with plenty of cover, but then, the scav army heard me. I was up the stairs with barbed wire, so the army couldn't make it all the way up, but it was terrifying. At least 10 of them running up and down the stairs. I chucked a few grenades down, but none connected. Finally, I thought I was safe. I headed down toward car extract. That's when the scav army re-emerged. Those bastards chased me with shotguns and grenades. My dvl couldn't handle it. I wasn't even mad after I died. It was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in this game.

x2, was helping a buddy do his first missions on PVE Saturday, we died back to back 4 times, I am level 37, he went in by himself and did all his missions on 2 runs, he is a level 55 on PVP, so he knows how to play good. thanks, I feel better now, I am killing an average of 10 pmc/scavs p[er raid and this was frustrating. Toned down my ass. I couldnt finish missions on that map fast enough. Had to rat my butt off just to get things done.

I am still stuck......... I love the map but I get head naped raped dropped if I as much thinking about crossing the road. Every AI is a boss. Kill one, they all come svarm you and make you into kebbob ---------------------------- If I have EOD.......... Can I atleast play coop with others to get this this over with???????????????????? Im about to quit again. storrage is empty.

i am lvl 4 and it feels basically impossible to ever make it to the other side of the map. in my last raid i got shredded by two pmcs camping in empire building. i came from tarbank and wanted to take car extract. a scav ran at me (passing by the camping spot of the pmcs), i killed the scav, the pmcs didn't even make a single noise, nor did they react to the scav. i died like 5 seconds later, when i entered their line of sight. i mean, what am i supposed to do, i am lvl 4, running an sks with sp ammo... feels like i just have to pray to make it to my objective without getting spotted by a pmc.

for me the most painful part of this map is when sniper scav doesn't reqister you fired the flare.

cant even run a thermal to help make it easier. all the bushes glow red.

I used to love scaving on GZ until I found the juice loot on lighthouse I pulled hella bitcoins off mansion on LH kinda miss GZ tho deffo running pmc on GZ today to get pmc kills

My first run into GZ at level 1 I ended up against a heap of PMCs, the one lot of tags I snagged before I died was Level 41.

I always liked ground zero Lately there have been almost no PMCs for me, but when there are they are terminators. But I love going up in the Machine Gun room and sniping all the bots. Even killed a boss, didn’t even know bosses spawned in Ground Zero.

This explains alot lol l kept getting wrecked lately on that map. But when i started i was going there all the time.

when I was on ground zero the ai PMCs saw me, I ran behind a truck and they just dumped an entire mag at my legs under the car, the other times they just one shot me through the bushes

If they decide to tune down the auto aim to make the gunfights feel more like fighting players as opposed to space marines or terminators a lot of these maps would be much less cancer to do. I know dying is a part of the game but this is just ridiculous.

I am brand new to tarkov and I find that streets of tarkov pve is the worst. I get shot from all sorts of places I don't even know, and find that I am consistently getting swarmed with AI when I'm not getting shot from across the map. Could you do a video on things to work on and keep in mind to avoid this and be able to actually play the more open maps without getting immediately sent back to the lobby?

Haha i rat one of usec AI pmc in ground zero at lvl 2. And j was shocked he was running lvl 5 Armor with arms protector and lvl 4 ulach m4a1 with 30 pen ammo while i was f. security with my paca and pot on my head i empty my 30 round from vityaz to legs lucky me. Other raids i just get rekted either by scav army or rabid ai pmc with chad gear i guess i killed only one ai pmc so idk if evry ai pmc running gear like that. They are like "one shot, one kill" mentality :/

I personally had no issues doing first quests on GZ. Yeah, I've died a few times, but it was fun and somewhat easy. Then my friend started playing and asked if I could help him. I told him about before and after lvl 21 difference. He was lvl 4 and I was lvl 27 😅 Little did we know that it's a HUGE difference. He died in the first 5 mins. And I nearly survived, keyword nearly lol Good times 😂

I almost never meet anyone in the western part of this map. Unless I get PMCs spawned on me around Skyside (which happened to me twice), I find moving south through the western part to be fairly easy. However, extracting near Empire got significantly harder after level 21, like you once told me. Extracting at Nakatani after looting Capital Insight also means dealing with some open space, so yeah, that can be tricky, but just moving around the map through the west is almost always a walk in the part for me, huh.

yeah idk lvl 2 character every time i go to this map i get shot in the face every single time from so far awayi have no idea where they shot me from i cant even hear the gun just holes in the wall im currently behind and headshot by pmc. if i can get close i can weave in blasts from my shotty but from 10 raids now i have been killed 8 times from a single shot to the face from a pmc i cannot see or hear. no thanks ill just play spt where the pmcs move and dont isntantly hit you in the face like in this garbage. id get it if the ai was hard no problem but they seem to lok onto you thru buildings from other side of the map and instantly hit you in the head when your behind something they can shoot thru. walls windows cars or just from the other side of the map if your not behind solid cover get ready to be hit. you cant stop to loot containers or nothing cos every single time your stop moving their timer starts ticking and if you stand still for 2 seconds and the cover youre behind can be penned they will shoot you. i know 10 raids might not be enough to see the actual experience but that was enough for me to switch back to spt

I'm kinda screwing myself here saying this but you guys should seriously give interchange keys a shot last raid I got 3 spears from Kiba selling for over 2 million between just those 3 you can also get fully modded mcx and ak12s on the walls so what I do is rush power then go to the back of Goshen (the grocery store one) and work my way forward grabbing like 500k worth of food just sitting on those like 4 shelves and if that's all you have space for then just bail and you maybe have to fight like 3 scavs at power or if you push up to Kiba you will usually run into one pmc squad that can often times be avoided by taking a different path then oh before Kiba I use the 11sr keyboard for the easy exfil then hit after Kiba ultra (I got 4 defibs in one run once) then I take the easy extract and I'm pulling 2 mil+ every raid most being 4 million in one raid if you could make a vid I think alot of newbies would at the very least appreciate the Goshen food run for some easy cash no power even needed

Honestly, im not at the level 20 breakpoint, but ive only really been successful on this map by going down very specific routes that have a ton of hard cover and escape routes.

I just got back to play pve. And maybe it's rng? Because I'm level 6 now but I've gotten one shot head shot by guards. Not even pmc. And the pmc i have encountered, they either have little gear or actually decked out with armor class 4 and stuff.

Not sure why but I am having the opposite experience. Ground Zero is is where I have my highest success rate. Factory on the other hand is a bloody nightmare lol its to the point i just laugh now when spawning in and either getting one tapped or having the boss appear and aggro on me within 60 seconds. I’d say maybe skill issue but man Ground Zero im an action hero🤣

I forgot to get Jaeger before I turned 21. That HDD for "Saving the mole" is impossible for me rn. Struggle bus.

My vote is for Reserve. Been domed from 50+ meters away by the 'PMCs' several raids straight when crossing the open areas, lost all my kits :(

I’ve noticed that the ammo type AI use and your armor level really do not matter, mostly when it comes to PMCs at least. I can’t tell you how many times I have been one tapped by 9mm while wearing level 5 and 6 armor, and that’s all to the thorax.

Level 21 on PvE mode or PvP mode lmfao I can't survive a single fucking PvE raid. PvP servers are EASIER.

At lvl 1 I ran into lvl 50+ pmcs here. Not sure it affects the AI like it does in PVP.

In my opinion factory is the hardest bc of how close quarters it is and the pmc always aim head eyes and the scavs have this weird bug going on where their grenades are silent no explosion no grenade sound and not even to mention tagilla being in the map every time and being unkillable without some sort of good ammo but I do agree that ground zero is difficult due to all the cover the enemies have and you can’t see through any of it but they can see through all of it bsg needs to work on the pmc ai targeting bc it’s like being in a lobby with a hacker😂😂

just died on this map. killed 2 pmcs and 6 scavs 2 guards and the scav boss before i got randomly head shot by a scav. tuff with the cover no joke. happy im done with the map for now

ive been trying too complete escort and i for sure do ground zero first cuz kollontay is a bit too cracked on ground zero 2 guards with kollontay and as soon as you engage kollontay the 2 roaming guards will come for you even if their are very far away, fighting kollontay and 4 guards that will all insta 2 tap you in the chest while in the open is rough too say the least

SLOW PEAK EVERY CORNER GUYS. CLEAR EVERY CORNER OR ALLEY YOU GO IN. Do this and those PMCs won't do shit.

I use a FLIR thats the only way I can run this map, so I can see all the players

actually i dont think this one is harder. i think the pmc raiders on customs are harder if you spawn customs side. if i try to cross even on junk bridge. i get 1 shotted from welcome truck. wel not all the time but most of the time.

Pro Tip for Shooter Born on this map. The gun on Empire is a great place to pick off pmc's with alt-Peak, as they spawn in the courtyard of TerraGroup, and down by the winery and emercom. Also since your on the second floor with the barbed wire, no scavs or pmc/ guards will rush you and shoot your back. Was a chill task when I started going there.

All bots are cracked. They see a body part from 100 meters, they aggro and shoot.

I try to utilize the underground area as much as i can but still get beamed if i step by a window or open area lol

I am a beginner and the map super cluttered and the PMC's beam me from within windows and such

pmc are indeed on the upscale but ive found if you take your time you can usually get them

This is so true. Because of Ground Zero, my extraction rate went from 90% to 50% trying to do tasks its insane.

I think pve ground zero is hard then multi player shit is crazy

Lighthouse (if you go to WTP) and ground zero are pretty difficult

instead of goping to the streets to emcom go underground to the car ramp

Night raid + thermal scope should help you survive this map

for Shooter born, i just funneled them into the TG building front door

The pmc outside of the terragroup building is a menace doesn't miss a single shot

Yesterday I was exiting Capital Insight (GPU in my gamma) to extract at Nakatani. I heard a PMC aggro on me outside. I dropped him and proceeded to get ambushed by THREE guards within 20 meters AND within line of sight of the PMC (out of my sight line) I had just dropped. I feel like they should have been fighting each other. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I decided to start a PVE play through whilst I wait for cooldowns on Lightkeeper with my PVP account. Went into Ground Zero and PMC’s I killed were over level 20. Killed 2, one was 38 and other was 44. Also ran into Kollantay and his boys despite being less than level 10. Not sure if there’s a bug where I’m not getting the easy Ground Zero whilst under level 20 due my main account being level 54.

There ist Something Strange in PVE, No Matter what map You choose, from time to time you have a Swarm of Scafs one your way to the Exit you have to run into for example one Costoms If the smuggler Boat ist there you get Like 8 Scafs with kinda good Gear ON the street you need to Cross or Like 10 Scafs arround Checkpoint one your way to ZB13. Not every round but Like 1 Out of 10.

Honestly enjoying the problem solving and figuring out which [lowest effort/skill] tactics or routes work for this and that - Using the buildings to sit up high, plinking scavs to manipulate them into engaging us or running away - bumping them in to the PMCs we can't get a free shot on otherwise. Learning the scav route for "this one" and knowing he'll be aggroing the PMC when he goes up the stairs, so we can come at them from the other side and clean up. Once it becomes a process, half of the fun is gone and the lack of audio cues is at least representative of a real PMC. It's enough of a learning curve change from both stock offline and the regular game to help those of us who need to, to get better and the "awareness from actually looking and listening" as opposed to looking for markers on the HUD (thinking Fallout, not cheats..). Edit: Also really handy for teaching us that what we wanted to do this raid and what we're going to be doing - don't tend to line up all *that* often.

My level 1 raid on ground zero I killed a level 63 gigachad AI-PMC with a full kit, I got lucky and headeyes him with the little 855 I had. I then realized that big did not do a lot for making the pmcs matching the version of the ground zero

Side note: pmcs ai seems to still be affected by getting shot in the sense that their aim gets worse as they’re hit a bunch continuously. When that happens you can get shot in the legs a bunch. I recommend trying to one tap them but once you have agro if you peak you have to commit a mag worth of bullets until you see them drop otherwise their aim will recalibrated and you’ll die. Also nades are always useful to moving them if they’re in a spot you don’t want to peak

What if you try ground zero at night? I don't know if the pmc's are less cracked then at day time. It would be great to know that.

i did my shooter born on the Empire building, the one that has the Utyos Machine gun from prapor quest , it has clear view for the terragroup plaza

It all makes sense now.. a couple weeks ago ground zero was mild.. I went back this weekend for the event task at lvl 46, and I got shat on.

well i went in ran for the granade launcher and then i shot down the street. and then it was free to move down.

I found out using the tunnel was very usefull while doing the missions if i spawned at the pther side of the map
