💬 In this video, Ursula Horine (1941) and Ingeborg Förster (1934) talk about their escape and childhood experiences. They are displaced persons from World War II.
Ursula Horine fled Kraków to Germany with her family when she was three years old. On the run, she is separated from her mother and sister. A couple takes her. She grew up with him for three and a half years until she was found by her biological mother at the age of 7 and brought to Munich.
Ingeborg Förster was eleven years old when she fled from Potsdam to relatives in the Bavarian Forest with her three siblings and her mother.
