Hey Wade! I just discovered uour channel as it popped in my feed. Tip/Hack for your Buddy Heater. Invest in a Painter's rack. You can find them in the paint section at most hardware stores. If you bend the hooks, you can attach it to the heater as a cooking/ heating rack. Also get yourself a small cookie sheet/ cake pan/pie pan...you get the gist. Sonething to prevent grease, food and whatnot from falling into the heater. I actually made chocolate chip cookies on my heater in my hunting blind on a Buddy Heater. They were the best hunting blind cookie ive ever had!👍🏻😎😉🍪. Those heaters will warm up your little space pretty quickly. Another tip. Get a little batter operated fan and put it on top, but near the back of the heater. It will help push the heat out, instead of it going straight up. If you plan on using it a lor for "Cold Weather Campin" ... invest in a wood stove fan. They run off of heat. They run very silent and find them pretty inexpensive on Amazon. Just a couple of ideas.

Hey thanks for watching. Those are great tips. I was just watching a video about the painters rack and fans. Have it on my list of things to look for next trip out. I just might have to try making cookies. That sounds great.

@@wadesoutdooradventures fyi, I used the break n bake. It do take a bit longer than normal and I also had my fan set up to push the heat over the cookies.

New here. Fun watch. We’re the type of folks to also cook chef mic mac and cheese via our Jet Boil. Absolutely loved seeing you use a pellet idea for a campfire. Neat idea!

Hi welcome! It hit the spot on that cold night. I really like the pellet fire pit. It can be a little bit finicky. Smokes a lot if the pellets actually go out. So you have to be mindful of when and how you add more lol. Thanks for watching. Happy New Year!

Thank you for sharing your little Christmas getaway I like your hiking staff !! I just got one of those UCO candelier 3 candle lanterns it is actually rated for 5000 BTUs which was surprising. I'm going to try it in my minivan no build and see what kind of difference it will make with the temperature. I stumbled upon an oil lamp hack for the lantern you can buy these little oil lamps and put them inside of the lantern it's a lot cheaper than the proprietary candles you would need to buy for it. Happy Holidays to you and your Family !

@@wadesoutdooradventures I use gloss ..Krylon. just make sure poly is VERY DRY. Or can be sticky mess..lol. IM in Florida so summer heat easy peasy. I spray it on outdoor art..metal or wood..overarching paint. On ALL my walking sticks. You might want to lightly sand between each coat of poly and paint. It dries clear n shiny. Looks expensive..lol..but just a tree limb. I have even Woodburn some and embedded stones...just for fun. Even a rubber chair or crutch tip will help the end with wear and splitting. Champhor a small bit around the bottom if useing rubber and place a large blob of E6000 GLUE..(Wal-Mart) in rubber tip. Let dry 12 hours in a warmish place. Happy camping n safe travels sir. I use the marine poly..painted on with paint brush. The spray sucks. All from walmart

If you would have left the point at the top of your walking stick, it would have made a good defensive tool against smaller animals, dogs and such.

Let me ask you this Wade . Can you go two hundred miles away from anything in all four directions . With only a knife a six inc fishing line and a lighter and survive for four weeks . That is called survival . Try it and refine your skills .

@@USNVET81 , funny , I suppose you were not shown how to survive outside of your elements . That is the problem of today how would you survive if you were lost in the forest by your self you would not. I practice my survival skills once a year I take only what I mentioned not even a sleeping bag , to different locations and I am 64 years old , I am still alive and never had to be rescued . It is people like you who will perish if something happens God forbid . I doubt you even know how to trap small game . Good luck with your surviving if something happens .

Lighten up bro it was a joke. Yes I do know how to trap. I run a small trap line on MY property to teach my 9 year old. No need to trap for any other reason as fur market is dead. I’m glad you can survive you may need to one day.

So... 200 miles from anywhere in any direction, eh? Do you get dropped by a helicopter? How did ya get home? A 400 mile round trip hike? That's pretty damn amazing! What time of year? Where abouts? How do you procure water? Where's your videos showing how it's all done? I don't believe that Wade mentioned anything about survival. He just wanted to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
