Margaritaville Resort Orlando! Join us for a staycation at Orlando's island-inspired getaway! Flip flops, fins, and sunsets await at this luxurious resort just minutes away from the major theme parks in Central Florida...
We planned a last-minute trip to Margaritaville to celebrate Brielle's birthday. There are several options for accommodations at the resort, from hotel rooms and suites to vacation cottages and villas. We booked a 3 bedroom cottage, and on arrival, we were assigned to 8020 Flip Flop Way. We were able to park directly in front of the cottage, which made settling in quick and easy. The main living space is equipped with a full kitchen with a fridge, dishwasher, stove, and microwave. Dishes, flatware, pots, and pans were included. There is a Publix nearby, and we were able to grab groceries for our stay. The sizable dining table can seat multiple guests. The living room is cozy with loveseat and sofa. One bedroom with an en-suite bath is on the main floor. The patio can be accessed from this bedroom. Upstairs, there was a nice sized bathroom with a bedroom next door. Another bedroom with an en-suite bath is upstairs as well. We discovered a fourth bonus bedroom with a twin bed and TV not noted in the listing. A laundry closet included washer and dryer as well as iron, ironing board, laundry basket, and some cleaning equipment. Towels and toiletries were supplied. The beds were comfortable, and we certainly enjoyed all the space throughout our stay.
The main resort building houses the check-in area, rental car desk, and concierge as well as the shop, arcade, restaurant, and quick service location. We loved the ambiance with the great art pieces, lighting fixtures, and the larger than life flip flop. Dining on site is lacking, though there are plenty of nearby locations, some within walking distance. Island H2O water park is also adjacent to the property. A small dog park is also available, though we were not certain whether this was an amenity for guests or for owners.
The pool at Margaritaville is quite large. There are different seating types for rent ranging from covered loungers to spacious cabanas. Pool side chairs were also available, though there was little to no shade and only a handful of umbrellas. The pool bars were very busy during our stay. We recommend getting an early spot at the pool to maximize enjoyment. The fitness center and spa are just outside the pool, and there are also surrey bike rentals. We loved that there were so many things to do!
