I just recently bought the updated version. Dyson does state you need to learn to use the dryer differently than traditional BlowDrys. After tweaking a few BlowDry habits, the Dyson is the best dryer I have used. My dry timing has been quicker and smoother. It’s ergonomic design is amazing when used as recommend. I love that there are enough different tools out there so we all can find our faves. You rock, thank you for your honest review.❤️
As a barber this is easily the best blow dryer I’ve used it dries the hair quicker than any other I’ve used and you can feel that it doesn’t damage the hair. That being said I do use it on short hair so it’s a lot easier to control. I do dry a lot of hair about 15-20 heads a day, So for my line of work it’s phenomenal. Maybe for long hair it’s not tho
I completely agree with you. I’ve been using the Bioionic Powerlight and I tried the Dyson and tried to love it but I got the same results. The blow dry time was twice as long and I never got a smooth static free finish.
I agree with everything you say. I own this dryer and it makes my hair static-y. :( the airflow is too powerful not too blow the other hair strands when concentrating on one.
I have the Pro version of this dryer in my salon as well! But I also do have the original version and I feel like it much better then this Pro version. Not sure why that is, you'd think it would be reverse. I do get a lot of frizzy hair from it also, and is more tricky too smooth the hair. I have a couple regular clients with highly textured course hair, and it's not the business with them lol! I've also used a couple other blow dryers and I got amazing results from them.
Thank you for sharing!! That is very interesting and good to know. Perhaps I should give the original version a try. And I totally get it with those coarse textured hair guests. haha We need the best tools and products possible to make our jobs easier!
