I feel like Friend and Avery are both Yandere’s but different kinds for example, Avery is a Cannonball Yandere which is a type of Yandere that “needs to be controlled” as you would say. CY’s tend to be very impulsive and emotional and will do the most exaggerated move possible to just get there “Senpai’s” attention. Friend is a Dormant Yandere which is a type of Yandere that will not display or even have any “Yandere tendencies” until long after you’re in a committed relationship and still will not show any “Yandere tendencies” until the trigger activates them. Most of the time they come of as kind, sweet, caring, “they couldn’t hurt a fly” as you would say. That is until there trigger is activated. If you activate that trigger they will suddenly transform into an “obsessive unstoppable monster” that will stop at nothing to get back the person someone stole from them. Once they go back to there normal state, they will be obsessively clingy, they will want to be with there “Senpai” 24/7. They usually come of as “innocent”, that is until you activate the trigger. The DY is usually only dangerous to people outside of there relationship that try’s to come in between them and there “Senpai”. Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to share my opinion and feel free to say your opinion if you would like.
Given how Friend keeps attracting crazies and has yandere tendencies themself, maybe Friend should act like a yandere for Avery, that would be fun and give Avery a taste of their own medicine. Or backfire completely and make the ULTIMATE YANDERE COUPLE. Either way, it'd make good content.
