@@Gildhattie by itself 💯. It forms it’s own scent and it’s amazing and very modern. It stops people on their tracks. I always get compliments. It’s weird though some people can’t smell it on themselves so def sample before buying.

How many sprays do you use?

Not much. Don't believe the hype. It's just another note. It has no magical qualities. The only thing it does is smell like wood and that's it.

Is it really nice I want to buy it

Not exactly. ISO E Super interacts with your skin in such a way that the more you wear it regularly, the stronger it performs overtime because your skin chemistry "adapts" to it. Now, in regards to the smell, the scent itself is a light "transparent" wood accord (think of a combination of sandalwood, musk, and ambroxan). The scent is virtually the same for everyone, but it varies slightly from person to person. Regardless, anyone will smell great wearing it.

@@AbrahamSalazar210 What are you basing this on? I've tried looking up the various magical qualities of Iso E Super online and have came up short. I personally think it's a just woody note and nothing else.

People that think ISO E has some magical powers are buying into the marketing hype. There are no studies online to show anything like that. It's just a chemical that smells like wood.

I don’t think it amps, just makes it last longer with my experience anyway ❤

It is the ISO. They aren’t speaking to that side of the fragrance because it clearly doesn’t effect them that way personally. But when used in high amounts it can come across as very cloying, chemical, medicinal. And many people get headaches and migraines from it even if they can’t actually pick up the scent. So it sucks for those who have that reaction that it’s becoming so popular now.

It is about chemistry. When you smell something in the air that process is due to the molecules flying off of a surface and hitting your olfactory sensors inside your nose, which then analyzing what type of molecular structure interacted with them and sending signals to your brain accordingly. Iso E-Super is one of the largest molecules used in perfumery. The large molecular structure makes it harder to trigger the olfactory sense immediately caused by its weight; not projecting as easy as the the other molecules used in top notes such as citruses, floral and fruit derived oils/synthetic molecules/accords (the same reason makes them disappear rather quicker). So it is not about the concentration but rather the molecular attributes of this ingredient. The same thing applies also many of the base notes and ingredients/notes used as fixatives (such as resins, chemical fixatives and so on. For instance molecular structure of resins make them easier to stick on other molecular surfaces so this adds up to the longevity of the blends). It is also the same reason that a lot of people experience olfactory fatigue and become anosmic when wearing this fragrance because when your sense of smell has constantly been exposed to such a large molecule for such a long time it shuts itself to that particular smell for a while and ignores its existence, since there was no food to consume (which could be related to the scent you are smelling) or no danger to flee it is unnecessary for your nose to bug your brain with such a heavy duty all the time. It is also the reason why people can smell you even from afar while you can't smell it on yourself (because however strange it may sound, molecules like this one literally glides through air). Remember the time when people were warning about deodorants' negative effects on the environment? "How could such a small amount of thing we spray way beneath the sky pierce the ozone layer?" was a question often heard. I won't go into much detail but leave it with a short information to strengthen my point: the reason behind aerosols' negative effects on ozone layer was because it was utilizing a chemical molecule called chlorofluorocarbon. When this molecule released in the air the unique chemical character of it resulted with this molecule to not interact or react with any other molecule within the atmosphere until it bumped all these gas molecules and made its way through the ozone layer (which consists of 3 oxygen molecule and is highly unstable compared to O2 we breathe here on the ground level) and there it reacted, releasing one oxygen atom from ozone molecules and binding with it. Of course the aerosols weren't the biggest reason for this but it was the DuPont company who released tons of chlorofluorocarbons in the atmosphere from their factory chimneys. Chemistry is rather interesting. It lifts many veils off of mysteries when you dive into it, or sometimes becomes destructive as much as productive... In the case of this ingredient, yes it helps amplifying some other fragrances, or contributing their longevity. However this brand charging the amount of money for this product is another story. DHP is definitely sexy but not sure I would consider it masculine. I kind of can't find those two words explaining a fragrances. That's a tough one. Like Aventus is masculine but I would never consider it sexy if that makes sense? It's certainly clean though. Maybe Oud Wood but then again I'm not sure it's sexy to me. Maybe it is sexy a bit. Try Acqua Vitae Forte and Acqua Universalis Forte. I find those to be sexy and slightly masculine but not quite.
