This one was handled a lot better than in '03. However, the "authorities" seemed to be evacuating in manner that crisscrossed the whole county. The population has grown here to out pace our recourses. Another issue in all of this, believe it or not is looting, and similar concerns.
Don't stay if they tell you to go... and DO NOT waste their time arguing with them. They'll save your house if they can, but while you waste their time SOMEONE ELSES HOUSE burns. Its hard enough on them... just listen. If you stay, then stay out of their way, because they'll have to save YOU and let stuff BURN if you don't.
Hey so are these homes are targeted by some buyer who wants to offer money for their lands. It seems suspicious that they couldn't put out this fire with all the equipment and standing around and waiting for another property to get burned. Helicopters, firetrucks, company water vehicles, so on. What's going on here? National Guards are also trained for this situations.
...And at the very end the commentator says that this guy's idiot move "PAYED OFF" because his house was saved. Not the smartest thing to say, newsguy.
