I liked Armenia more than Austria...

37 - I don’t hate this at all, but it is a bit messy and I get why people don’t like this. 36 - Probably my least favourite song from this year. Not bad, but really boring and cheesy. 35 - This didn’t deserve last, even if it is already dated as hell. 34 - Catchy and really quirky. 33 - This is quite nice to listen to, but I get why it didn’t make the final. That instrumentation is gorgeous though. 32 - Funky and really catchy! Deserved higher. 31 - Love Valentina’s voice and the chorus is really catchy. 30 - Studio version bangs, this live version is a disaster (and I kinda love it) 29 - Forgettable but not bad. 28 - Really deserved the final! Such a talented voice and so fun! 27 - I don’t know whether I should hate or love this song (although I am more towards the latter) 26 - Amazing voice and beautiful lyrics! 25 - Catchy and upbeat, but kinda forgettable. 24 - So majestic and really distinctive. I don’t get why people decided to make this the worst performing song from Azerbaijan for 4 years... 23 - I forgot about this, but I like it quite a bit when it was on. 22 - Love the instrumentation, the vocals are ok. 21 - This is so ridiculous that I love it! 20 - Probably my least favourite entry from Italy this decade. Still really good, but not memorable enough. 19 - Poor Girls :( This is really good and they didn’t deserve the hate they got.. 18 - Really Catchy and fun! 17 - Got thrashed unfairly in the final, and totally deserved better. 16 - Despite the awful things this man has said about Conchita, this song is absolutely amazing. 15 - Catchy but kinda mixed on the vocals. 14 - I love this type of hype music! 13 - Grew on me so much and is now one of my favourites. 12 - One of my favourites immediately. The folk sound is really good for this competition. 11 - Not as amazed as everyone else, but totally understand why people love this. 10 - Catchy as heck! 9 - ROBBED! She owned the stage and had a catchy song too. Why didn’t she get through?! 8 - Nice but kinda forgettable (especially with next year’s entry being very similar but better) 7 - Drum n Bass in EUROVISION?! Hell yes! 6 - One of the UK’s best entries in a long time. 5 - One of Spain’s best entries in a long time. 4 - Genuine masterpiece and one of the best ballads Eurovision has ever had! 3 - Catchy and very well performed 2 - Deserved winner and so brave for doing what she did in front of so many people. 1 - Best Netherlands song and best song from this year. So yeah this year was genuinely amazing!

This year is like the complete opposite of 2008 for me. There are only a handful of songs which I don't like. The results were near perfect this year, for me at least. Semi Final 1 was the other semi final which I got all of my 10 qualifiers. This is probably my favourite Eurovision of recent years, as there were so many great songs this year.

Why was the sound quality so low in that competition? I still remember that in the semi finals I couldn't hear the Albanian entry (and some others too). I was able to hear only the vocalists 😶 now when I watch the performances there is a problem even on RU-vid. Even if the volume is at 100% I think that I can hear the 50% 😶 is there any explanation?

Only now did I really observe that before the contest austria and possibly the netherlands weren't favorites by the people and the bookies. A really good staging and an awesome performance can really change your odds of winning, doesn't it? Edit: Oh yeah, and that also happened with Cyprus back in 2018.

I will forever maintain that Georgia deserved way better this year, such a unique and charming song that often gets slept on. Aside from them, a lot of other acts that deserved to do much better. Iceland, France, Albania, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, the UK and Greece all deserved better placings or to make it to the final. All in all, a super strong field, rivalled only by 2015 I think. Denmark, Finland, Ukraine, Switzerland and Norway all brought amazing songs that could have won it. And, of course, Conchita absolutely killing it

The Netherlands was one of my greatest growers of the ESC history: from enormous boring to fascinating and loving the harmonies. Conchita was of course the star the evening! Sanna is a such beautiful person, and fantastic that you put Carl Espen on 4! One of my favorite ESC's!
