Unit 1 scouting, also just showing you the Escudilla Mountain trail, great trail for a fun family hike or to see some blue grouse or elk and deer, hiking AZ, White Mountains
thanks for watching, want to get back up there, just to get a closer look at those bulls. maybe get a grouse, I loved grouse hunting in NM, but never hardly see them here and did not want to shot the few I saw but I saw 20 or so on that hike.

Nice, there was actually a wooden tower before the metal one. My Great Grandfather spent his honeymoon in that tower. He was working for the forest service packing supplies on horseback to the lookout towers at the time.
yeah, the 1st one that was wood, was before the CCC, I looked and they did build the one that is there now, I remember hearing that story from your dad years ago, did you used to hunt grouse up there? I loved hunting grouse in NM, but always felt bad here, because I rarely see them, but I saw a lot that day,
