Esee Laser Strike, A Great Camp & Soldier Knife in One

In this video I test and review the Esee Laser Strike. This knife really doesn't get much attention but I'm bringing some to it here. This one I got using The Knife Connection knife builder service to get this knife with their famous TKC grips. This knife has a lot of potential and should be recognized.

One of the advantages of wearing 10 inch logger boots year-round Is that I'm able to use the laser strike as a boot knife. Love it!

@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors I'm shocked that it took me this long to start doing it myself. I've worn tall logger boots almost every day for the last 20 years and I almost always have a revolver strapped to my left boot. Strapping the laser strike to my right boot balances things out perfectly and adds an extra measure of edc utility.

Yes, like any good tactical knife, the right blade of the Laser Strike is a direct extension of its right handle, no deviation or imbalance possible in the action of piercing in combat. And although I am not a fan of skeletonizing the blades, aesthetically, for the simplicity of its lines, the Laser Strike is my absolute favorite of ESEE knives. I've carried a lot of knives through out the tears but the laser strike is my favorite most universal belt knife. It is my camp/bushcraft/ survival blade...I strap the junglas 2 to my pack for chopping....and the izula is carried around my next....the esee line up is amazing!

They do, almost all my Esee Knives but the Junglas II has TKC grips, thanks for watching.

I have an esee 6 on my plate carrier and a condor jungolo in the pack but I got a serrated model and don’t care for serrations I appreciate the review on the laser strike this will probably replace my 6 on the plate carrier

This isn’t a bad knife at all. I do like the Esee 6 over this, that said I’m not a serrations fan either

Love this video. I just ordered one of these knives and can't wait to get it. I may check into the aftermarket handles as well, depending on how the original ones feel in my hands.

I've had my ESEE Laser Strike for going on-3 yrs, & it has performed up to the expectations I had for it; & beyond! The spear point is what made it my #1 survival knife, over the ESEE-4 and ESEE-5..

It's my favorite of the esee.Had mine for about 2years.The tkc grips take knives to a new level.

The TKC Grips really does take it to the next level, and I like the Esee LS a lot but I think The 6 or the Esee 4 inches past it overall for me but all are good. Thanks for watching

Not sure why the laser strike isn't more popular. The drop point style blade is awesome and the handle appears to give you some great options.

I love it! Dispatched a tick with the Laser Strike. Mission accomplished sir. Yeah I bought a new architect with the TKC builder. Ranger green and orange G10. It is a great service for sure.

I love mine. The balance is fantastic. It’s extremely comfortable. And very capable. My philosophy on chopping and processing a lot of firewood is that your belt knife shouldn’t be your primary tool for that. Logs and chopping enough to build a shelter should be done with a camp axe or hatchet. That’s what they’re for. I’ll split small to medium stuff with my knife but big stuff gets split with tools that are meant for it. My knife is too important to be subjecting it to tasks it wasn’t meant for. If I find myself in a situation where I have to survive and all I have is my knife, I’ll utilize small to medium firewood. Not an issue.

You obviously know what you are doing. Keep up the good work. Great combat blade choice. Esee 5 is too heavy. Esee 6 is too big and thin for the length of blade. Laser strike fits right between those 2 options.

I know. I wish I hadn’t bought the ESEE5. Such a klunker.
