Appreciate the work put into these videos for us to watch when we aren't riding. It's so many rider's dream to turn their favorite activity into a lifestyle and a career I love hearing from people who are really doing it.
Stop comparing your boards to exotic sports cars ie: Lamborghini Own: Evolve GTR Bamboo I love my board! I appreciate so much about the Evolve GTR longboards ranging from the quality of batteries and battery mngmt system (not to mention all the rest of the high quality parts) to the range and flexibility of accessorizing the board but one thing I don't agree with is comparing the board with Lamborghini. Stating this is adding fuel to fire when boards are tested and compared by online content providers here on RU-vid and elsewhere. The GTR does not out-perform all other boards on the market as a Lamborghini would. I like to think I understand the board's design well enough to state that the board is slightly self-protective in ways of intentional design that keep it performing the way it does for much longer than more cheaply made boards from other companies. I know this as a fact as after a couple years of riding with my friends I'm noticing their boards beginning to die off one by one. Their boards were outrunning my board in the beginning but now they are struggling to keep up. Short circuiting motors, faulty electronic speed controllers and main battery failures are mostly the cause. For example: One of my friends had a board that outlasted my board in terms of battery but now two years later his board is no longer usable while I'm at 63% battery remaining. This is amazing to watch unfold in such a short period of time. Another friend of mine bought three different boards from different manufacturers and now none of them work. He recently told me he now understands why I paid so much for my board. All of their boards from other manufacturers are too costly to ship back to China for repairs or are no longer selling parts which in turn forces them to buy a brand new board once again. In summary my thought is to change this statement from comparing to Lamborghini to a much more effective strategic approach of 'designed to feel better and last longer and repair more easily - in the event something does go wrong.
GAY!!! ..still nothing compared to a kaly or a lacroix. Evolve quality is shocking from the bolts they use always gets stripped ,6 inch tires are not balanced they said it’s normal, how many times do you read story’s of people getting disconnected while there riding at 30km. All the injuries people have had, average battery’s even worse on the gt models. The list goes on
Love the history and hearing how it came together. Thank you for taking the time to explain your working model too. One request, please start repair centres in other cities!
I like the context. but all your parts do come from china? Or am i mistaken? No problem with that but, the prices are a bit high. Why so much overhead?
Greeting from Billings Montana! Love the Evolve Family! I enjoy these history and future chat videos. Evolve is very passionate about their brand. Congratulations guys A+ I’ve owned a Gtx and now Gtr bamboo and absolutely love the product and the design to plug and play parts if they go bad.
The issue is that no company can stand still and simply expect to be a brand leader for too long. You need to look at adding mudguards especially to AT boards as that is something you simply don't provide and there is demand for it (not sure how large the demand is). Whereas competitors are all now providing mudguards. At £5 - £10 per pair of jeans dry cleaned due to dirt / mud splashes even on dry days it pays to switch to another board with mudguards as each ride essentially costs between £5 - £10. Also once other brands have basically copied Evolve and added their own twist to the GTR, Evolve may need to reconsider price or increase length of warranty or include some other value added service to ensure its offer makes sense to new customers. Make those changes too late and it results in trouble for the company. That is how I see it.
Much of what has been discussed in Evolve’s last three videos was that they are always moving forward. Even 18 months after the GTR’s release there is still no board that is better for the same price. There are certainly cheaper options out there but they ate cheaper for a reason. So I agree changes need to be made before it’s too late, but that time isn’t nearly upon them.
@@tas8 Yes, I do. My comment was more about priorities than the need for mudguards. I can understand why some people might want them but I’d rather see 3rd parties and aftermarket accessory manufacturers meet the limited demand. Evolve have bigger fish to fry in their evolution and support of the global customer base.
@@BrianLomas I didn't say it was a priority simply that companies that have copied Evolve have addressed that need and Evolve still hasn't. It was an example of 'standing still'. The Chinese model is often very simple, steal designs -> copy -> improve, which leads to many patent holders going bust if they are too slow to evolve. I think you sort of addressed your own point in that if it is limited demand no other company is going to address it if Evolve doesn't. There is no bigger fish to fry if there are no new Evolve customers as they have switched to other brands.
Performance comparison he did would be considered fact. Something that most if not all youtube reviewers do oh and as for the "Chinaboard" comment. All manufacturers owned and operated from China. Hope this is simple enough for you to understand.
@@dman1848 what are you having a laugh, the way matty said chinaboard with his air quotes that was just low key racist but If you don't get that I guess you think its alright. Was it fact that he did the review in a non bias way in his words? There isn't much fact about that video we don't know what modes he had the exway in or if in fact he was giving the exway a fair chance as he works for evolve and is bias, or is that to simple for you to comprehend?
