thanks for sharing. how's the heater working I know you had issues last year with it. one question about the hut how do you keep it anchored in that crazy wind?
the heater issue is you can not tip or turn heater on it"s side as liquid propane will flow down the inner tube and block the passageway and you need to use qtip to soak it up to fix....took a bit to learn it but I love my buddy heater...the shack has 4 ice spikes that screw into the ice and rope from shack to pegs...also has 4 more for each corner of the shack...I only secure 2 ropes and one corner and we were fine in 25km wind....I will make a better video on the shack next time we go out...thanks for watching
I'm a year late, but thanks for the review. In your honest opinion would you buy it again? I'm looking for a 2 man so I figure the 3 man is the b st bet. I've been in a two man flip over and it's tight. Using the buddy heater dose it keep you two warm? Sorry for the questions, we out today and damm near froze our buts off. Lake X southern Ontario sorry can't say the lake, but we fish Simcoe quite a bit to paint a picture. Thanks. -Pidge
open unit and screw in before popping tent open. ( using a battery drill with some ingenuity for a chuck attachment , you can screw in the anchors in no time) These are very large kites.....Impossible to manage in the wind by yourself.....well, not impossible but you want to do it again most likely. Set up your tent in a windless environment to understand how it folds so aren't guessing on the ice. Broken poles and hubs are no fun. These can pop out if they aren't folded up properly. I guess I know this first hand......twice......two different manufacturers. Hate admit it.....Wind sucks
