I'm working towards teaching English in Korea, so videos like this are very helpful for me. You have great energy, and you command the room very well! All of the kids listen to you, and seem to enjoy the lesson. I'll use these methods someday. Thank you!!
I've been looking for a good example video of an expat ESL teacher effectively teaching in a classroom and this basically covers everything that is needed. Thank you so much.
I clicked on this because I'm hoping to do CELTA but I couldn't stop watching because the kids were so cute!! Especially the little boy in the green who kept waving at the camera haha!
I'd like to see more videos of other teachers in the classroom. I noticed them or parents sitting at the back. It would be helpful to see different teaching styles!
After 5 years in Thailand a private school in Kunming is waiting for me to work with them in October. The age of my students will be 3-12. Great to see some examples of how to do it.
Hi Yana, your class management is soooooooo nice! I am supposed to conduct a demo lesson next week and I am so nervous, but your super self-confidence inspired me. Thank youuu💝
Thank you for this video! I have become really attentive recently to how much time students are given to think about and respond to questions and to use target language. Here students were given less than 40 SECONDS to talk about "what do I do in the morning". Is this really sufficient for two people to think about what they want to say, and to say anything meaningful?
I just recieved my TeFL certificate and would like to teach in Korea or Thailand. I'm vewing several videos to get some ideas and techniques with my class...

I'm a new non-native English teacher in Vietnam. I have seen this videos many times and extremely found this useful for me. Thank you. By the way? How can you teach such a long structure like "What do you do in the morning?" like that? I am so curious because virtually all the students could answer this question. Wait for your response.
Gem Bùi thank you for your feedback! Repetition is the key together with modeling! Students just get used to hearing the same question in a specific context. Songs and chants can also be a great source for context presentation.
Wonderful! I’d like ask a question. Do they have vocabulary notebooks? Or how do they remember the vocabulary you just taught in the classroom? This is really important for me.
Здравствуйте, не совсем поняла вопроса. Gallery walk тематическая, можно в такой формат перевести любую matching activity.ввод активности постаралась показать в уроке!
Hi, Yana! Your lesson is amazing! I liked it alot. And try to finalize the 6 rules. Could you please share the whole list? 1. 2.Raise your hand 3.Hands on the desk, feet on the floor 4. Be nice - don.t fight 5. 6. I 'll highly appreciate your help. As I feel that my secondgraders need the rules like that:))) Thank you for sharing!
Thanks. The audio didn't come through very well. ... I'm preparing my second class with toddlers 6 and 7 years old tomorrow. I'm super nervous! Do you have any videos or class plans I can look at ? It's only an hour long
How can i make my students start talking like this mine still only talk to me in arabic and always seem to understand nothing when i start talking in english eventho i use signs a lot nd story times and songs
you should probably start by speaking to them in a very basic level, only present simple for example sometimes songs or storytelling doesn't work for every group,I don't know what age are your students but I think that if they don't speak English they're probably not ready for songs yet, maybe try easy games that are simple and short, there are lots of idea on google and lots and lots of repetition at first, flashcards are really useful also
You would think that the person editing the video would be able to spell "student" correctly @time mark 4:03 or at least have someone that knows proper English to review the video before posting. No hate. Just noticing the little things.
