I am still using this build since your very first video, and it is absolutely amazing. I’m excited to see this build and I’ll probably change my armor to what you’re saying to use but I’ll have to look at it but this build still works today and I love it. Thank you so much.
Me too it's my main and I've been using it so long I know it's ins and outs it's passives everything. I've cleared numerous HMs, no deaths, speed runs on it
I have been rockin the Immortal Tank for years and it works as good today as it did all those years ago. Tanking is a true art form and this build helps us all channel our inner Bob Ross
@daffy it’s awesome you are good at tanking. Yes people “should” be able to do what you can do, but some can’t. I think the should could come in once someone has their learning curve over. Be mindful of how you should your skills onto another.
@@Lex45173 i agree. the tank’s sole purpose is to output a high amount of dps in order to keep threat, taunt when threat is dropped, and use self heals/buffs/debuffs when necessary to ensure threat is held.
I do miss this game ! Have not played any video games in well over 6 months. Been working on my warhammer 40k. I need a mic because iv never done a trail. Got to level 50 160cp and never done a trail as I always failed to join em lol Loved the DK Argonian. Just fun to play
Posting from the future, lol. I run this with oakensoul and one monster set helmet like lord warden to reach resistance cap without minor resolve. Alessian also works as a good substitute for leeching with the massive health recovery, perma block with max block cost reduction, 9k+ health recovery when holding block. Poison glyph on sword to restore stam with dk passives. Pretty freaking op compared to the video build
Hi Xynode, love your content and I would be interested in an updated version of this build for update 40, taking into account the new DK set from the Endless Archive. Thanks
starting kinda fresh, was impressed by a tank in the dungeon, came here. Instant regret..... Shooooosh!! everything goes above my head. Sir you do speak FTL. Gotta listen @ x0.5 LOL
I wanted to set up this build this morning but then I realized I don’t have the support skills. Also do you think taking heroic slash over one of the other skills is beneficial?
Thanks for this build! I love playing with the leeching plate but is it really effective against single target bosses? Do you change your set for single target bosses ?
@all Your health recovery is insane high. How? I copied everything from the video and got only 1600 with potions, food, buffs. (I’m dragonite Ork cp680) I can’t believe that you got 3.1k health recovery because of the cp Differenz. So what should I do to get to 3k? Am I missing something ?
Amazing build video mate though I might not know how to proper apply the mechanics as I constantly die when tank bosses from the latest ESO PVE dungeons… apparently the issue is that I cannot block enough … my block drops after some seconds and since the boss is hitting me , I die :( Any suggestion ????? Thanks
I’m a newer player and I hope this isn’t a stupid question, but is it smart to 2 hand with a tank because I have my 2 handed skill pretty high and I haven’t really used sword and shield
@@mikemacon413 I know it's a dual S&B set up but like he said, there are many variations or options for personal preferences so in that regard yes other than that. Since ice staff passive also reduces cost of blocking and increases amount of damage you can block, I though it might also be viable on your back bar which in turns opens the path to frost clench.
Its wild to me that people call this selfish and yet there's 8 DPS in trials and not one of them can rock the support sets? Anytime I run dps I run Reviving barrier, and though its not a support set, that alone most certainly makes a difference on our survivability. So why not have like 1 person amongst those 8 run a Support like class that keeps buffs and debuffs up so the tanks can focus on tanking/surviving and the healers can focus on healing/keeping everyone alive. This whole Tank/Healer/DPS stuff is kinda getting old. Weren't Bards a thing in MMOs?
I mean typically you have 3 dps running support sets, ec cro for buffing the groups crit damage, zenkosh for the group hitting pen cap and big damage buff, and mk sorc to increase overall group dps, and honestly slotting non selfish sets doesn’t really make a ranks job harder lol, it’s just overall to buff the group more using sets such as sax, pa, TT, Yol, PW, and the list goes on
Most prog groups wont allow this build, Winters can be replaced by a skill called Healing Springs and leeching doesnt provide any group buffs nor does the mythic. Better to run at least one group buff set paired with one of these or they wont even look your way to tank, shame because its a fun build! ❤ Much love xy
For vet trials you're probably right, yes. But people have to start somewhere that doesn't make tanking scary. For PUG vet dungeons, normal trials and self made pug trials this could probably be quite fun I can imagine.
@@xgrandchampx8916 Yes exactly to begin with im 100% all for a selfish build because its the only way to improve. But in my case i need to wear Alkosh or my team doesnt hit pen cap so it’s massively important to learn how to tank without these sets
@@mikemacon413 Im just saying that more optimised teams they will want you running buff sets, for example our IR prog is all buff sets on tanks etc, not a selfish set in sight to ensure no damage is lost. This is 100% viable HOWEVER its always better for the team to run unselfish sets
* YOUR IR prog. Quite frankly, the groups I run with will prioritize survivability of the group (for the no-death part of the 'chieve) and tanks like this and the Lazy Tank and Atronach provide this in spades. You are falling for a very common fallacy of assuming that every group is like the group you run with or that you follow. They're not.
Not sure in understand how Bloodlords works since it only works on 1 target at a time. Most bosses ssem to have have several seconds (5 to 20 or 30-ish) between blockable attacks. For mobs, I bash, they hit, I block. Benefit only if their damage is less than my gain. Am I missing something? Otherwise, build looks fun to try and test survival. Is there a variant for an unkillable solo build (a tanky DPS)? Low DPS could take forever on a boss.
I figured out the health recovery numbers but the magicka is still well out of reach for me. I'm assuming it's something I missed in the champion points? Most of the health recovery comes from strategic reserve in the fitness tree.
I was quite confused by this at first too. But I think I can get pretty close to those numbers by having the strategic reserve CP slotted with 500 ultimate (that adds about 1500 health regen), and having a tripot potion active (30% boost to both health and mag recovery). My regen numbers are still 100-200 lower than what's shown in the video, but my character is also lacking a few important passives, so hopefully that's where the shortage is.
I never know what to do with my tank build. I'm currently running with turning tide and claw of yolnahkriin, sturdy with full tri effect enchantments. For acc I have healthy with health recovery for front bar I'm rolling with masters s&b infused w/Stam restore. Backbar is master ice crusher and infused. Attributes are mostly dumped into magical, none in health. I've had no issues, yet but would've to vastly improve Need gear advice.
Every single video we find today is: immortal arcanist, nightblade, dragonknight, etc built with one bar... I tested almost every single one the one that really is functional is the one I built myself with the videos of Lucky Ghost. I use Dragonknight Breton as a tank... Still have 680cp but is working fine
Hi, how you get it work with cp680?. I got low health recovery. Like 1800 and 2k mag recovery. (With all buffs and food) also dying at single bosses with this build. Any Tipps? Don’t get it how his health Recovery is this high…
I love the way you explain things. It is just how I would. Also almost 1bil in gold LOL. Would you like to donate some to charity? Kinda broke here. But this build is amazing. But do I have to use imperial race or can I use any other race meant for tanking as I don't have imperial race.
For the love of God man. I had to slow the video to .25 just to see each piece of armor as you clicked past at 1000kph just slow down and go down the line one piece at a time. I just want to see the armor name and enchant/bonuses and you snap between each like it musical chairs. Made this really annoying to just see what the names were in order from top to bottom. Great video overall, thanks.
@@xynodegaming jk but really thank you very much for the video, I’ve rly been struggling with tank because my build never made sense :/ and also I rly appreciate you EXPLAINING the why’s and how’s when tanking, you have no idea how much this helped me improve. Thank you ❤️
@@pr3s151 You are most welcome and i am glad the content was helpful! Also thanks for the humour i needed that today hahah that comment is going on the fridge ;)
For basic vet dungeon you don't really need tank, for vet dlc this can work great with 3dps and tank, for vet trial not sure that group will really like this build...great and eazy op build with some dps, lots of heals and big shields, perfect for new tanks or if you just lazy like me 😂
Brev with the leeching plate again... cmon man you're just making turtle builds... what about actual useful support builds for trials? If you're a good tank you shouldn't need all these sets! It's just promoting the idea of "I don't need to improve"
@@therealhvac It isn't, I'm an endgame tank, these sets are looked at as bad, selfish sets - and it's not hard to just figure out what skills will keep you alive and use better team sets, can still go 7 heavy and have max stats, but you don't need leeching man
I solo tanked using this build 2 nights ago with 1 healer and 10 dps VAA and VHM. Not a single person said a word about my sets. They only thanked me for switching to a tank because no one else had or wanted to play one. As I said before, perspective. I also used it in VSH. While all this may not be considered endgame, it still did what it was intended for. Keep aggro, and stay alive. The small heals and shields did what was needed for the healer and squishes.
I WISH THEY WOULD DEVELOP A 'WARRIOR' CLASS... IT'S ANNOYING THAT THEY WENT WITH ARCANIST FOR THE IMPENDING XPAC... ESO IS STILL MY FAVORITE GAME...BUT I'M GETTING TIRED OF WAITING FOR A 'PURIST WARRIOR' CLASS... I THINK THEY'RE BEING STUBBORN ABOUT IT.
I've tanked all hard modes and never use selfish sets/skills. It's definitely good for beginners but it holds you back from learning what your doing wrong.
@@Stew-ky2hg gaining confidence is a thing , start with this then replace sets as your team grows into their role . Just grabbing this build then jumping into a vet trial probably a no go lol . But yeah I've seen plenty of people grab builds like this gain confidence and then replace along the way .
Just had to use pvp skill line didn't u , really don't understand just how bad pvp is , it puts a massive toll on connection to the point it DC u right out. Not even attempting this load out
Yes, Hyperioxes is way better! You will survive just fine, actually learn how to tank, and buff group. When raid leads makes you change sets it will be like taking training wheels off.
