yeah when you grind it's so much easier to use a smaller zone

@@CEDESO so I ran into a problem with Artaeum. When I bring up the leads screen and double click the green lead for Artaeum it just goes to another screen that says 0/3 codex. It won't let me scry for the green lead at all. I have done these initial scrying/excavating quests. I'm already level 5 in both scrying and excavating. Any idea what's going on? My guild tried to help me too but they couldn't find the answer. My guild leader thought it might be quest locked behind some quests in western skyrim. Another guild member said he just leveled up scrying and excavating but didn't have to do quests in W skyrim.

@@nomizak if you did the initial quest to even get the eye, you shouldn't have this problem. You will be unable to scry for a new lead if you already have 5 active to excavate though. If it's just the zone bugging out for you, I'd suggest using another small zone like betnikh or bal foyen

@@CEDESO yeah that's what I did. I'm using Bal Foyen. Lol. At least there are alot of treasure chests there.

I waited in a delve for 5 hours didnt get a lead, went back the next day got it right as i killed boss

some of the gold leads are mythics but there are also gold ones for furniture and other pieces

the codex is mainly just lore for you to read. When you found the antiquity you can just use the rest of your time for bonus loot without penalty

@@CEDESO Yeah, I have not even started well, just did 2 LOL! I have been more focused on my Companion I am only half the lvl that your on. I am around 662+... Now the Companion is even a GRIND. I am on Mirri Elendis almost at 20 & noticed something as well that players complain of how to get a Plus Rapport. I noticed if you do all three quests & my advice do it at DESHANN..All three quests are right there you can miss them. I do all three Daily & I get a Green Plus every single time every day & it racks up. I am almost topping her out on that & yes, it's a grind as well & can get BORING! But it's the only I know that is fast & rank up as well. This is just ONE I am using Mirri Elendis Oh, and those have her you may want to TURN her off when you get to the BrotherHood because she will give you a RED Negative yeah, she hates that & sneak Killing if doing any Dark Brotherhood turn her off my advice. I am sure you knew this but saying NEWER players out there...P.S. If you have Mirri Elendis read books she gives a PLUS+ every now & then. I got three in one day talk about RARE...

@@Scorpio_1974 Mirri has a lot of ways to get extra rapport: kill snakes (big ones like in alik'r), kill goblins, read books, fighters guild daily quest, looting psijic portals, crafting an alcoholic drink, excavating antiquities, entering a daedric delve, using a daedric pet like the daemon chicken, ashlander daily relic quest by numani in vvardenfell, entering the library of vivec when the miniature is completed, stealing alcohol or sholar items. She will give you bad rapport for going into dark brotherhood, catching flies or butterflies etc, using blade of woe and going near boats

For Bastian the good rapport you get from doing mages guild daily, entering a mages guild, reading books, doing a psijic portal, going to artaeum, killing bandits and cultists (like at the start of a dark anchor), scrying antiquities, going to eyevea, helping random encounters in danger (like people being attacked by bandits). You get bad rapport from killing npc's, looting thieves troves, stealing and crafting food with cheese

use fissures after you dig up the antiquity so you don't damage it. Best is to have rank 2 trowel and rank 2 of the first passive for double charges. If you have 2 smoking fissures on the same ground level and the tiles connecting them have the same ground level, you will be able to clear the connected area by detonating the fissure with the trowel

I had this issue too on XBox. The R chooses the tool but you need to use one of the buttons, for XBox it’s A, to use to the tool. Hope that makes sense.

@@gladiatorjam3594 lead drop from several sources (for example world bosses, delves, trials,..) and if you open your journal, you can go to the antiquities section, and start scrying and excavating the ones that are available in "scryable". You have to port to each zone to see what is scryable and means you required a lead for

@@rewub7172 nope. I'm a new player. And I looked up how to unlock scrying. Most guides tell you where everything is at because they know new players are the ones that will search for it.

Same here. I'm farming the hell outta the leads but am only getting greens. I'm currently in Artaeum and just started with Antiquities so I don't know how much of a factor either of those are.

you have to complete the greens before you can get the blues in an area. Purple only drops once. If it keeps dropping greens after you scry and excavate, I'm afraid it's bugged at the moment

You have to put a skill point into the first entry in the World/Scrying skill line before you can scry blues. Same with the higher colors. You have to level it up same as crafting.

are you using the eye? Best way is to quickslot the eye (same way as you would potions) and use it when you are in the blue area. Then the eye will pop up and you run in the direction of the "arrow" while will be the sparkly point.

yes, you will have it in your inventory. Mythic items have an orange colour and will also be unlocked in your set stickerbook

it moves to a different part in the same area so you can use the eye to find the new digging spot

if you really want to can level to 10 in a few hours but it takes some grinding :)

once you know what to do it doesn't take that long anymore. I usually scry and excavate in about 2 minutes max per antiquity now

you need to level the scrying skill line to be able to scry higher level leads. Same for the excavation skill line
